Austausch 2022, My trip to Germany

As soon as I arrived in Germany I knew that an incredible adventure awaited me. I had

always been fascinated by German culture, so I was more than excited to explore the country and

experience it for myself. Over the course of my trip I visited many cities which include:

Frankfurt, Berlin, and Hamburg each one with their own unique charms and attractions.

My first stop was Frankfurt there I was immediately struck by the city's modern skyline

and his always bursting energy. I spent my first day exploring the city's mall and many museums

and galleries, including the “Städel Museum” and the “Museum für Moderne Kunst”. But the

real highlight of my time in Frankfurt was the food. I tried all kinds of regional specialties, from

sausages and sauerkraut to apple wine and Frankfurter Kranz cake.

Next, I traveled to Berlin where I was disconcerted by the city's rich history and vibrant

art scene. I spent several days exploring the city's many landmarks including the following: the

iconic Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall Memorial, the Reichstag building, and the Jew

extermination memorial. But my favorite part of the trip was visiting the top of the Berlin TV

Tower, where I got an incredible 360 degree view of the city.

After Berlin, I headed to Hamburg where I was greeted by my host, Samuel Bichev.

Samuel was an incredibly welcoming and gracious host, and he showed me all the best spots in

the city. One of the highlights of my time in Hamburg was visiting the Miniatur Wunderland, an

amazing miniature model railway exhibit that was absolutely mesmerizing, and it also includes

his own chocolate fabric. I also attended the Hafengeburtstag, an annual festival celebrating the

city's port, where I sampled some of the best seafood I've ever tasted, caramel apples and Lakritz.

One of the most somber parts of my trip was visiting the Sachsenhausen concentration

camp located just outside of Berlin. It was a heartbreaking reminder of the atrocities that took

place during World War II, and it left a lasting impression on me. But not all of my experiences

were quite so heavy. I also visited the Phillips Institute in Marburg, which was one of the most

beautiful universities I've ever seen. The campus was stunning, with old stone buildings and

sprawling green lawns. I even got to sit in on a lecture, which was a real treat.

Also I payed a visit to the Heidelberg Castle, which was absolutely breathtaking. The

castle's ruins towered over the city, and the views from the top were simply incredible. It was the

perfect way to end my trip, and I left Germany feeling inspired, enlightened, and full of new

experiences.

Overall, my trip to Germany was an absolute dream come true. From the food to the

museums to the people I met, everything was beyond my expectations. I can't wait to return and

explore more of this amazing country.

That was all I guess, so byee!
