How to Connect Cisco AnyConnect Remote-Access VPN

How to use Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client

Please follow below installation guideline if AnyConnect setup is not already installed.
If it is installed then please proceed to Step-2.

Step 1 - Installation of Cisco AnyConnect Setup

Open the downloaded file anyconnect-win-4.8.03036-core-vpn-webdeploy-k9.exe and


continue with the installation.

Click Next when installation setup wizard opens.


Accept the License Agreement, and click Next button.

Click Install button to begin installation.

Step 2 – Entering Server IP and Credentials

Once Cisco Anyconnect Setup is installed, Launch the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility
Client from the Start Menu.

Once Cisco AnyConnect is open, please click Advanced Window option

Please ensure that Block connections to untrusted servers is unchecked.
Close the window after ensuring this.

You will resume to below prompt of Cisco AnyConnect.


Please enter the URL – lhr-vpn.i2cinc.com and click Connect button.

Please click Connect Anyway when below prompt appears to proceed further,

You will get Username/Password prompt, you need to enter the provided credentials
here and hit OK button.

Once credentials are validated, you will see below mentioned status.

Step 3 – Disconnect the VPN

If you want to disconnect the VPN, click show hidden icons and then open highlighted
Cisco AnyConnect icon as mentioned below:

Status of Cisco AnyConnect will be Connected to lhr-vpn.i2cinc.com

Click the Disconnect button for disconnecting the VPN.

Instructions

Please adhere to following instructions while connecting i2c Network using VPN:

 Make sure not to connect the VPN using public networks.


 Make sure to work on wired/firewall enabled networks or wireless networks that
have WPA2 encryption with strong password. Change default Wi-Fi access point
password.
 Make sure and updated anti malware solution is installed on the machine.
 Make sure that latest security patches are installed on the machine.
 Don’t use USB sticks at all if you can avoid it. There have been too many
examples of such devices being infested with malware.
