1. SITE INTRODUCTION
Urban planning is a process of elaborating solutions that aim both to improve or requalify an
existing urban area, as well as to create a new urbanization in a given region.

1.1. Site Selection


For the selection of study location, we chose Toul Sangke Village, Sangkat Toul Sangke I, Khan
Russey Keo, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

1.2. Site Information
We have selected the site located in Sangkat Tuol Sangke1, Khan Russey Keo , Phnom penh,
Cambodia . The size of Toul Sangke village is about 50 hectares. Tuol Sangke 1 have divided into 6 village:
Phsa Toch Village , Tuol Sangke Village , Tuol Kork Village , Chong Ksach Village , Bak Tuk Village and
Tuol Sampov Village .

1.3. Site History


Russey Keo is a district in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, that has undergone significant urban devel-
opment since the 1990s, involving land reclamation, dredging, and construction of new neighbourhoods.
The district has also faced issues such as forced evictions, land disputes, and administrative changes. In
2016, the Cambodian government divided Sangkat Tuol Sangke in Phnom Penh into two parts: Sangkat
Tuol Sangke I and Sangkat Tuol Sangke II. Each part has six villages.

small scale industries and the first used for
residential purpose.

• Most of the municiple corporation buildings

• Institutional complexes like school and tutori-
als are of g+3.
• Small clinics, commercial shopping complex-
es, food and beverages are g+2.

• In TOUL SANGKE, we have a
maximum height of g+5 building.

and house for rent.
