Jagananna Amma Vodi

Brief objective:

• Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced the programme “Amma Vodi” for
providing financial assistance to each mother or recognized guardian in the
absence of mother, who is below poverty line household, irrespective of caste,
creed, religion and region to enable her to educate her child/children from Class
I to XII (Intermediate Education) in all recognized Government, Private Aided and
Private Unaided schools/ Jr. Colleges including Residential Schools/Colleges in
the State from the Academic year 2019-2020.

Benefits to the citizens:

• The promised aid of Rs 15,000, irrespective of number of children, will be


directly deposited in the beneficiaries’ savings bank accounts in January every
year until the child completes class 12.

Diesel Subsidy to Fishermen Boats

Brief objective

• Diesel subsidy is hoped to reduce the financial burden on fisherman for their
livelihood and protect them against market fluctuations.

Benefits to the citizens

• The owner of a mechanised boat can avail a subsidy up to 3,000 litres a month
while the owner of a motorised boat can avail a subsidy up to 300 litre a month.
The government is offering a subsidy of diesel of Rs 9 per litre.

Jagananna Chedodu Scheme

Brief objective

• Jagananna Chedodu Scheme Launch On 10-6-2020. Honourable Chief Minister


conducted video conference and interacted with beneficiaries.
• It is a state governement funded welfare scheme only for tailors, washermen and
Barbers of the state, who had lost their livelihood due to COVID-19 pandemic.
• The fund provided to each beneficiary will be transferred directly to their bank
accounts. The beneficiaries will be identified and shortlisted through surveys.

Benefits to the citizens

• Under this scheme, beneficiaries will be provided a one time amount of


Rs.10,000. This fund can be utilised by the beneficiaries for purchasing tools,
equipment and other essentials to grow their source of income and work
establishment. This will help them to fulfil their investment needs.

Jagananna Thodu

Brief objective

• On 25 November 2020 Jagananna Thodu Scheme was launched by the chief


minister of Andhra Pradesh YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy.
• The AP government's 'Jagannanna Thodu' scheme seeks to help small traders
who are struggling with high interest rates.

Benefits to the citizens

• Interest-free term loan of Rs 10,000 per year would be extended to the hawkers,
street vendors, and artisans engaged in traditional handicrafts through banks.

Jagananna Vasathi Deevena

Brief objective

• Jagananna Vasathi Deevena ; Launched by, CM of Andhra Pradesh ; Launched


Date, 24th February 2020.
• This scheme aims to improve the Gross Enrolment Rate (GER), provide quality
higher education, ensure continuation of students in the stream of higher
education, and equip the students with essential skills.

Benefits to the citizens

• Under Jagananna Vasathi Deewana, the government provides for the hostel and
mess charges of BPL students.
• Industrial Training Institute Courses (ITI) students will receive Rs 10,000 every
year, polytechnic students get Rs15,000, and degree students get Rs 20,000 as
fee reimbursement.
• Full fee reimbursement is provided for SC/ST students irrespective of courses.

Jagananna Vidya Deevena


Brief objective

• Jagan Mohan Reddy officially launched the scheme on 24 February 2020


• Scholarships are of great importance to all of the students who are not able to pay
their fees because of various financial burden on the family. Under this scheme, full
fee reimbursement benefits will be given to approximately 14 Lakhs students of the
state.

Benefits to the citizens

• Financial funds will be provided to all of the students who are willing to study and
gain higher education but unable to pay their fees because of the financial burden of
their family. The reimbursement is to be directly credited into the mothers’ account
of the students in four installments annually.

Jagananna Vidya Kanuka Yojana
Brief objective

• The government provides three pairs of uniforms, set of notebooks, text books, a
pair of shoes and two pairs of socks, a belt, school bag to all students from class I to
X in all government schools

Benefits to the citizens

• The scheme would benefit nearly 39.70 lakh students across the state and has
been made all arrangements under auspices of Samagra Shishu Abhiyan to provide
7 items to students on the first day of reopening of public schools.
• The government will also provide bus transportation to the students for free of
charge.
• It is also noted that the students can join either of English medium or Telugu
medium. However, it has made Telugu mandatory in every classroom where English
medium is taught.

llla Pattalu

Brief objective

• This is a housing scheme for the poorest of the poor. Also known as YSR Housing
Scheme, YSR Avaas Yojana, and colloquially called as Pedalaku Illu Pattaalu.

Objectives of Illa Pattalu Scheme:

• Provide better accommodation to weaker section families and low-income families.


• Improve the living standards of low-income families.
• Encourage the production of alternative construction materials.
• Provide employment opportunities to the construction workers.

Manabadi Nadu Nedu

The state government has launched ‘Nadu- Nedu’ scheme during November
14 2019 to take up the basic infrastructure works with nine (9) components i.e
i. Toilets with running water, ii.Electrification with fans and tube lights, iii.
Drinking water supply, iv. Furniture for students and staff, v. Painting to
school, vi. Major and minor repairs, vii. Green chalk boards, viii. English labs,
ix. Compound walls in all Government Schools for transformation
of Government schools in the State

Key features of the scheme

1. Development of government schools – The primary objective of the


scheme is to help the state government schools to regain their honorable
position. For this, the state government is ready to spend the necessary
amounts.

2. Numbers of schools – The state government records suggest that there


are as many as 15,000 state-run and state-aided educational institutions in
Andhra Pradesh. All these institutes will come under this project.

3. Budget allocated for the scheme – The extensive scheme will require
huge monetary grants. The state government has already allocated a
whopping budget of Rs. 6000 crore for operating the scheme successfully.

4. Tenure of the scheme – The Chief Minister has stated that the
completion of the education welfare scheme will take at least four years.

5. Renovation of schools – Many old government schools are in a rather


sorry state. These institutes will be selected, and proper renovation will be
done to restore the beauty of the education institutes.

6. Washrooms for male and female pupils – Many government schools


do not have an adequate number of toiles for the students. The scheme will
pay attention to the construction of proper and modern washrooms for girls
and boys.

7. Laboratory for students – The Chief Minister has also stated that the
government schools will get new and improved laboratories. The labs will
assist the students in gaining practical knowledge, and understand the topics
better.

8. Supervision of the activities – The scheme guidelines of the welfare


scheme highlight that it will be the responsibility of the authority members of
the Mandal Education Board to keep a tab and monitor the construction
activities.

9. Appointment of community contractors – To ensure quality work and
transparency, the state government will not offer the project tender to private
construction agencies. The entire project will be monitored by community
contractors.

10. Formation of parent bodies – The officers of the Mandal Education


Committee must keep in touch with the parents’ councils. The parents will be
selected by the scheme officers to keep close watch on the renovation works
and progress of the scheme.

Village Volunteers
Brief objective
The government’s flagship programme called ‘Village Volunteers System’ aims
at providing government services at doorsteps of people through volunteers

Benefits to the citizens


• It aims at providing governance services at doorsteps of people. Basic idea
behind implementing scheme is to infuse confidence among people in
government
• Village secretariats would be set up in each village to deliver governance
to people in 72 hours. These Village secretariats would also be launched
from 2 October by making volunteers a bridge between government and
people of state.
• Volunteers: The scheme will involve more than 2.8 lakh volunteers. Under
it, 1 volunteer will cover 50 families in each village. Identity cards will be
given to each volunteer and they would get an allownace of Rs.5000 per
month

Y.S.R Nine Hours Free Power Supply


Brief objective
The government has been implementing the ambitious scheme of nine hours
daytime free power to agriculture, free power to SC, ST families and power to
aqua farmers at cheaper price. Aqua farmers would get power at Rs 1.50 per
unit which benefits 53,649 families.
Benefits to the citizens
The nine hours per day time free power supply would benefit 18.15 lakh
farmers for which the government allocated Rs 4,525 crore.

YSR Adarsham Scheme
Brief objective

YSR Adarsham gives self employment opportunities for unemployment


youth. The youth are given a vehicle for transportation of sand and other
essential commodities through Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development
Corporation (APMDC), Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Corporation (APCSC),
Andhra Pradesh Beverages Corporation Limited (APBCL) and other
government agencies.

Benefits to the citizens


The vehicles will be given to the unemployed youth to provide self
employment opportunities by APMDC, APCSC & APBCL corporations for
transportation of sand & other items. By this source unemployed youth can
earn Rs. 20,000 per month.

YSR Arogya Asara

Brief objective

YSR Aarogya Aasara scheme provides post-therapeutic sustenance allowance


to the poor patients during their recovery period. After the poor patients get
their treatment with the help of YSR Arogya Sri, the state government offers
them a maximum of Rs 225 per day or a maximum of Rs 5,000 per month for
the prescribed relaxation time under the Aaogya Aasara scheme. This wage-
loss allowance is applicable to 836 kinds of surgeries in 26 specialised areas.

Benefits to the citizens


Under this scheme, the poor patients will receive a financial assistance from
the government, after they are discharged from the hospitals. They money
will help the patient to meet the economic needs of the family, and post-
treatment medications.
• In the implementation of this scheme, the patient will be able to get a
maximum of Rs 225 per day or a maximum of Rs 5,000 per month for the
prescribed relaxation time.

YSR Arogyasri

Brief objective

YSR Bima

Brief objective
The main object of the scheme is to provide relief to the families of
unorganized workers in case of death or disability of the unorganised worker
leaving the families in great distress.

Benefits to the citizens


The registered unorganised workers will be enrolled as members under State
Accident Death and Disability Scheme and under Aam Admi Bima
Yojana (AABY) and will also be covered under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha
Bima Yojana (PMSBY). They shall receive the following benefits:
• Rs.2 lakh for 18-50 years and Rs.30,000/- for 51-60 years towards natural
death, Rs.5 lakh for accident death and total disability and Rs.2.50 lakh for
partial disability for 18-70 years.
• Scholarship Rs.1,200/- for children (up to two children) studying 9th, 10th,
Inter and ITI.
• Total online claim settlement process. Rs.5,000/- paid within (2) days
towards funeral expenses and total balance amount paid on 11th day or
13th day death ceremony.

YSR BIMA’ for BPL families

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has


launched ‘YSR Bima’, a scheme to provide financial assistance through
insurance cover to the beneficiary in case of death or accident of their
families members. All families with white ration cards are eligible for YSR
Bima scheme. Village/ward volunteers will visit the families and enrol the
names of the primary householders.

About “YSR Bima” Scheme:


• The claim amount will be directly credited into the beneficiary bank
account within 15 days of making the claim.
• Apart from this, immediate assistance of Rs 10,000 will be provided to the
families through village and ward secretariats.
• The scheme will benefit 1.41 crore BPL families of the state.
• An amount of Rs 510 crore would be paid by the state government
annually as an insurance premium for this scheme.
• This will also make Andhra Pradesh as the first state in the country to
single-handedly fund the insurance scheme.
Category wise insurance amount covered under the scheme:
• Accidental death and total permanent disability for people aged
between 18-50 years: Rs 5 lakh.
• Accidental death and total permanent disability for people aged
between 51-70 years: Rs 3 lakh.
• Natural death cases (18-50 years): Rs 2 lakh.
• Partial permanent disability in an accident case (18-70 years): Rs 1.5 lakh.

YSR Cheyutha Scheme

Brief objective
This scheme aims at equipping women of SC/ST/OBC/minority castes. The
Financial benefit of Rs. 75000 is to be provided over a period of four years to

YSR Kanti Velugu

Brief objective
The ‘YSR Kanti Velugu’ (eye screening), scheme is a program to take up
comprehensive eye screening for entire State population. The government
will bear the entire cost from preliminary eye check-up to surgeries wherever
required for the entire 5.40 crore population.

The residents benefit from a free mass eye screening program taken up by

YSR Kapu Nestham

YSR Law Nestham

Brief objective
The government has launched the YSR Law Nestham during December 2019
to provide financial assistance of Rs 5,000 per month as a stipend to Junior
lawyers.

All the junior advocates and lawyers will get Rs. 5,000 per month as stipend
during the first three years of practise.

YSR Matsyakara Nestham

Brief objective
The government provides various welfare measures to fishermen in the
state of Andhra Pradesh .

Benefits to the fishermen


• A fiinancial assistance of Rs. 10,000 to fishermen operating
mechanised, motorised, non-motorised fishing nets, hunting rafts
during the "no fishing" duration.
• A diesel subsidy of Rs. 9 per litre for fishing boats. The same would be
provided in identified fuel filling stations.
• An enhanced ex-gratia of Rs. 10 lakh to died fishermen (while on the
occuaption) families who use mechanized, motorized boats and
hunting rafts. All the fishermen in 18 to 60 years of age group can avail
this benefit.

YSR Navodayam Scheme for MSMEs

Brief objective
YSR Navodayam objective is to fullfill the needs of micro, small and medium
enterprises (MSMEs) in the Andhra Pradesh State by providing financial relief
by restructuring their bank loans.

Benefits to the citizens


•One Time Restructuring (OTR) of MSME loans scheme under an umbrella
program Dr. Y.S.R Navodayam which creates a new ecosystem for MSMEs
ensuring that all the eligible MSME units are covered for one time
Restructuring of accounts upto 31-03-2020.
•Reimbursing 50% (not exceeding Rs.2,00,000/- (Two Lakhs) per account) of
the auditor’s fee for preparation of Techno Economic Viability (TEV) report,
wherever such report is applicable, for the cases restructured by the banks
under OTR.

YSR Nethanna Nestham Scheme

Brief objective
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the handloom weavers so
that they can improve their handloom works.

Benefits to the citizens


Under the scheme, Rs 24,000 will be credited directly into the bank accounts
of the weavers having own looms every year. Every beneficiary will receive a
total aid of Rs 1.2 lakh in the next five years.
YSR Pension Kanuka
Brief objective
The government announced YSR Pension Kanuka as part of the welfare
measure to ameliorate the hardships of the poor and vulnerable sections of
the society particularly the old and infirm, widows, and persons with disability
to secure a dignified life..

Benefits to the citizens


• A monthly pension of Rs.2250/- is provided to Toddy Tappers, weavers,
Single women, Fishermen, ART (PLHIV) Persons. Traditional Cobblers
• Disabled persons, Transgender and Dappu Artists receive a monthly
pension of Rs.3,000/-
• People affected with Chronic Kidney Disease who are undergoing Dialysis
in both Government and network hospitals receive Rs.10,000/- per month.
• The enhanced scale of pension came into effect from June, 2019 payable
from 1st July, 2019 onwards.

YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan Scheme

YSR Rythu Bharosa is one of the nine Navratna welfare schemes of Andhra
Pradeesh government.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh is implementing “YSR Rythu Bharosa”


from October 15th, 2019 for providing financial assistance to the farmer
families, including tenant farmers across the State @ Rs.13,500/- per farmer
family, per year, to support the cultivators in meeting the investment during
the crop season with a view to enable them to timely sourcing of quality
inputs and services for higher crop productivity.

YSR Sampoorna Poshana

Brief objective
YSR Sampoorna Poshana Plus is intended to supply nutritious food in 77
tribal mandals.

Scope of coverage
77 Scheduled and Tribal sub plan mandals spread over 7 Integrated Tribal
Development Agency (ITDAs) of Sitampeta, Parvatipuram, Paderu,
Rampachodavaram, Chinturu, K.R.Puram and Srisailam and 8 districts in the
State.

1. Nutritious food will be supplied to children and pregnant women,
irrespective of their health profile

YSR Sunna Vaddi Pathakam

YSR Zero Interest Crop scheme launched on April 20, 2021. Under this
scheme farmers were provided crop loans up to Rs. 1 lakh during the rabi
season (2019-20). This scheme covers the farmers who availed crop loans up
to Rs. 1 lakh and repaid the same within 1 year. CM disbursed the interest
subsidy amount directly in the bank accounts of the 6.27 lakh farmers. Total
amount disbursed is Rs. 128.47 crores. This scheme is launched in the state
for the welfare of the farmers thereby relieving them from the vicious debt
circle.

Objectives and Benefits: 

• The main objective of the scheme is welfare of the farmers across the
state

• Under this scheme, interest subsidy is provided to the farmers availing


crop loans and repaying the same within 1 year

• It aims to free the farmers from the vicious circle of money lenders rather
government will directly provide them interest subsidy on loans taken

YSR Vahana Mitra

Brief objective
AP government is providing Rs 10,000 financial assistance to auto, taxi and
maxi driver/owners yearly under YSR Vahana Mitra scheme. For maintenance
expenses, and for obtaining insurance and fitness certificates among other
documents.

Benefits to the citizens


• Through the Vahana Mitra Yojana, the goal of the state government is to
increase the income and reduce the expenses of taxi repair by providing
financial assistance to the financially weak taxi drivers.
• The fund amount of Rs 10,000 will be provided to the entire auto, cab
drivers registered under the Mitra Scheme through a bank account.

YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku-Bhoo RakshanaScheme

YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku-Bhoo Rakshana scheme is launched


for land protection of the residents of the state. It tends to protect the
entitled ownership and rights of the residents. This scheme was initially
announced and the pilot project was started in Krishna district in a village
named Thakkellapadu. On December 21, 2020, CM officially laid the boundary
stone for this pilot project. This scheme is basically launched to remove the
irregularities and bring transparency in land matters. It is mainly a solution
for maintaining the records related to ownerships of land properties. It will
tend to reduce the property disputes which are prevalent. On April 22, 2021
CM held a review meeting regarding the scheme so as to ensure the process
is corruption free and easy for farmers.

Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme

Andhra Pradesh government launched ‘Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme’ on


December 10, 2020. The main aim of the scheme is to empower women and
to provide them with social stability. Through this scheme government will
provide sheep and goat units to the women belonging to SC, ST, BC categories
in the state. It will operate in 3 scheduled phases. This scheme will enable the
women to earn for living thereby improving their standard of living. It will
make them self-reliant and thus they can also support their families.

YSR Jala Kala Scheme

Andhra Pradesh government launched ‘YSR Jala Kala Scheme’ On September


28, 2020 for the farmers across the state. This scheme is launched basically
for the needy and eligible farmers across the state. Under this scheme, the
farmers get the benefit of free borewells drilled from the government.
Currently this scheme is implemented in all the 13 districts of the state. The
main aim of this scheme is to solve the issue of shortage of water for
agriculture and irrigation. The farmer without any borewell and 2.5 acres
continuous land is eligible under the scheme. Farmers can apply online and
offline under the scheme. A separate dedicated portal is devised for this
scheme by the state government.

Agriculture Electricity Cash Transfer Scheme

Andhra Pradesh government issued guidelines regarding Agriculture


Electricity Cash Transfer Scheme, which is planned to be launched in the
state. This scheme is about to be implemented from the financial year 2021-
22. Under this scheme free power supply will be provided to the agriculture
sector. All the processing will be done virtually. Government will install smart
meters to all agricultural power connections and the bill amount will be
credited to the bank accounts of the farmers.
