Insecurities in teenagers

What is insecurity?

Insecurity is a feeling of inadequacy (not being good enough) and uncertainty. It


produces anxiety about your goals, relationships, and ability to handle certain
situations. Everybody deals with insecurity from time to time. It can appear in all
areas of life and come from a variety of causes.

Types of insecurities:

Personal insecurity

Academic insecurity

Body insecurity

How to overcome your insecurities?

 Surround yourself with encouraging people


 Let go of people and situations that fuel your insecurities
 Stop comparing yourself
 Embrace yourself as you are
 Confront your feelings

Insecurities among teenagers are common and often stem from a combination of
internal and external factors, including social pressures, academic expectations, and
personal experiences. Somehow we learn to overcome all those insecurities that make
us fail, and we use them as new knowledge so as not to do or follow the same steps
again.
