I. Background of the Case

While writing this paper, I was fully aware that I am not a sociolinguist or
an expert about language, and as a result, I only have limited credibility when
discussing topics about learning language, especially about language registers.
This case analysis will discuss how language register affect the goal and
purpose of communication and how it is use in the society. But before we
proceed to the main context of this case analysis, let us know first what language
register is.
The register is defined in linguistics as the way a person utilizes language
differently in different situations. Consider the words you use, your tone of voice,
and even your body language. In linguistics, these variations in formality, also
known as stylistic variance, are referred to as registers. They are influenced by
aspects such as the social occasion, setting, purpose, and audience in the society.
In every form of communication registers are utilized, such as written,
oral, and signed communication. The register can be exceedingly formal or very
intimate depending on grammar, syntax, and tone. To communicate effectively,
you don't even need to use words. During a disagreement, a huff of impatience or
a grin while saying "hello" says a lot. There are types of language register.
According to some linguists, there are only two forms of register: formal and
informal. This is not inaccurate, but it is oversimplified. Instead, most language
researchers believe there are five distinct registers: frozen, formal, casual,
consultative, and intimate.
To determine how we would act or speak in a given scenario or
conversation, we must first understand what language register is. In this paper,
you will learn what a language register is and how it influences the goal and
purpose of communication, as well as how they are employed in society.

II. Objectives of the Paper
The purpose of this case study is to enable you to:
1. Recognize the significance of Language Register in a specific scenario
or communication,
2. In a given situation, use suitable language,
III. Conceptual Framework
In "The Study of Language," linguist George Yule describes how registers
are distinguished by a variety of specialized vocabulary and turns of phrase,
colloquialisms and the use of jargon, as well as a difference in intonation and
pace. Jargon serves to "create and maintain connections among those who see
themselves as "insiders" in some way and to exclude "outsiders,"" according to
Yule. Not only English language learners, but also native speakers, must
understand the distinction between registers. As native speakers, we must
comprehend the language register in order to act and talk effectively in a context
that is unknown to us. English students may struggle to determine which
register to use as well as a native speaker. When we know the different types of
language register, we will be able to act and speak appropriately in a different
situation, even if it is a formal, casual, and such.

IV. Methodology of Analysis

The reliability of this study has been enhanced by selecting the best
papers or research on language registers that profoundly affect society. The fact
that this study concentrates on how language is utilized by people in particular
circumstances or situations. I carried out the research and located dependable
websites to gather the data.

V. Highlight of the Case

The language we use defines our ability to use language and how we are
going to fit in a particular situation. In this study, about language registers, I
notice that every people can alter the way how they speak in a particular
situation. However, I notice as well that what if a person is not in a good mood,
they cannot just change their mood right away because they are not
knowledgeable about the language register. So that, this paper can help the
person who do not know about language register.

VI. Presentation, Analysis, and Discussion

In this part of the paper, it presents that the objectives of the study have
been carried out. If someone will read this paper they will have a knowledge

about language registers and they will know the significant of knowing it. They
will be able to know how to act or speak in a certain situation. Also, they can
know what the goal is and purpose of knowing language registers, like why
should we know what it is. We should have a knowledge about language register
due to the fact that knowing it we will going to know how to act in a casual
situation, formal situation, and such.

VII. Implication to Society

In society the language register is used, where in, the language use by a
person can alter in a different situation. People can socialize with each other
even they are not from the same society with the help of knowing what language
