Final draft
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for admission to the TESOL MA course beginning in January 2022 at
Huddersfield University.
During university, I have worked as a teaching assistant at several well-established English centers in
Da Nang. I have gained a broad understanding of teaching English to young learners and adults of all
ages. Moreover, apart from a great attempt to achieve a wide range of specialized knowledge through
various courses in English teaching methods, I was also selected to be one of the volunteer coaches
for a teaching program for underprivileged students around Viet Nam. I could see myself have
learned a tremendous experience of managing a project and creating positive impacts through
assisting students in having better access to the English subject. It has been my greatest desire to
pursue higher education in English teaching methodology in order to equip myself with a professional
background and further qualifications in English teaching competency and take initiatives to better
the English learning methods of students in Viet Nam.
I enclosed further details of my education and qualifications to date in the hope that you will consider
my application for entry. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Lynn Smith
