Why is this evidence helpful to your question?


This demonstrates how racist monuments were taken down, and it shows that issues can be

produced by these protesting acts to the government. Specifically in this photo, by throwing

the monument into the harbor, it causes problems with salvaging it back up and disposing it

with a sustainable method.

Why is this evidence helpful to your question?


This demonstrates the working cite of transporting a confederate monument that was taken

down during the protest, showing that disposing and transporting the monuments away after

protesting demands for extra manpower and financial support.

More than 183 monuments, statues and historical markers have been taken down or

vandalized since the beginning of the protest in May. Most were not torn down by protesters

but by city officials that was pressured by the public. Most of the statues are temporarily

stored in available places as there are few places for an appropriate redisplay. Few statues

have been transported to cemeteries and museums.

The huge number of the taken down monuments adds huge pressure onto the government’s

operations within the city, as extra bills have to be distributed into relocating and storing the

historical remarks.

This evidence shows that the destruction of racist monuments adds extra pressure to the

financial situation as relocating few monuments already costs a significant amount of money.
