Symptom
The Transport Management System (TMS) cannot communicate with servers that correspond to the
SAP HA solution.

Reason and Prerequisites

TMS requires a dialog-capable server as the communication partner for each system. Normally,
this is the application server with the highest availability. Unfortunately, with HA
systems, this is only a server without dialog processes.

Solution
1. For a new TMS configuration, first perform the normal TMS domain setup. Make sure that
the used dialog instance is available for the duration of the setup.
2. Execute the program TMS_MGR_LOADBALANCING on the TMS domain controller.
1. Enter the SID of the HA system and select the Load Balancing Mode field on the
selection screen.
2. Then execute the program.
3. You reach the TMS system overview.
4. Double-click to display the HA system details.
The current host name of the dialog instance can be seen on the Communication tab.
5. Enter the message server names here.
6. Save and distribute the configuration.
As a result, load balancing is activated for the communication of TMS lines for the
specified system. The standard group 'SPACE' is used as the target group.
