Ma’am:
One of the effective approaches to evaluate the oral language skill of every Grade 9 learner is a
Reader’s Theater Performance. Through this endeavor, it enhances the correct production of
English sounds to achieve mastery of the language; it enriches varied verbal and non-verbal
strategies to create impact on the audience; and it uses the appropriate prosodic features of
speech to effectively deliver lines.
In this connection, may we ask your good office to allow us to conduct a Reader’s Theatre
Contest among Grade 9 students on November 26, 2018 at Inner Quadrangle, Main Campus.
Moreover, may we also use our English time for the practice and preparation of our students for
the said contest.
