Tankguard Storage Minimum Curing Before HVHT
Dear Ma’am/Sir,
As a responsible coating provider, Jotun priorities safety and quality above all else. In
accordance with the industry best practices as per ASTM D5162-01 Method B,
“sufficient drying and curing of coating shall be allowed prior conducting test.”
As mentioned in Tankguard Storage Technical Data Sheet, the coating cured or ready to
conduct test must be minimum of 7 days at controlled temperature of 23°C and relative
humidity 85%.
Holiday detector operates high voltage and inherently a destructive test. It is crucial to
emphasize that the curing of the coating material plays a pivotal role in the overall
integrity of the protective layer. Shortcomings in the curing process can compromise the
coating's effectiveness may result to failure and pose significant risks during testing
procedures.
Should you require any further assistance or clarification regarding Holiday Testing
please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Your faithfully,
Jotun (Philippines)
