Position Summary: The PEIMS Data Entry Clerk assists the PEIMS Coordinator in collecting student enrollment, withdrawal, demographic, and attendance data to develop reports for the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Qualifications: Education/Certification Requires a High School diploma or GED. Experience Must have 1+ years of experience of data entry experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Strong Data Entry experience. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong MS Word and MS Excel ability. Must be able to type 40-WPM and 10,000 keystrokes (10-key). Ability to handle confidential information. Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records. Ability to meet weekly deadlines. Ability to communicate with all levels of school staff. Ability to give attention to minute details. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Preferred KSAs 2+ years of experience maintaining and supporting PEIMS Data Entry. Responsibilities and Duties: Enter and maintain accurate student information in the district and state database. Enter student leaver data in the district database and maintain documentation for proof of leaver reason. Enter student attendance data in the district database and maintain accurate and auditable records. Analyze and monitor campus enrollment, withdrawal, and attendance data. Assist in training the campus secretaries on student enrollment, withdrawal, and attendance procedures as needed. Assist PEIMS Coordinator to collect data for district and state audits. Perform special projects, during and after normal business hours, and other duties as assigned.
