II. Session Outline
Session Title: "Harmony and Understanding: Promoting Peace and Values
Education through Intercultural Cooperation"
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) recognize the importance of cooperation in intercultural
understanding; and
b) promote peace and values education by fostering intercultural
cooperation, enhancing understanding, empathy, and
collaboration among diverse cultural groups.
Key Concepts:  Harmony: Cultivating a sense of unity, cooperation, and mutual
respect among diverse cultural groups to foster peaceful
coexistence.
 Understanding: Encouraging empathy, open-mindedness, and
cross-cultural awareness to bridge differences and promote
dialogue and understanding.
 Peace Education: Promoting knowledge, skills, and attitudes
conducive to resolving conflicts peacefully and building sustainable
peace within and between communities.
 Values Education: Instilling universal values such as tolerance,
respect, empathy, and compassion to nurture ethical behavior and
positive relationships across cultures.
 Intercultural Cooperation: Facilitating collaboration, exchange,
and partnership among individuals and institutions from different
cultural backgrounds to address common challenges and promote
shared goals.
 Cultural Diversity: Recognizing and celebrating the richness of
cultural diversity as a source of strength and creativity in building
inclusive and harmonious societies.
 Empowerment: Equipping individuals with the tools, resources,
and opportunities to actively participate in intercultural cooperation
efforts and contribute to positive social change.
 Dialogue: Promoting constructive dialogue and communication as
essential means for resolving conflicts, building trust, and fostering
mutual understanding among diverse cultural groups.
 Inclusivity: Ensuring that all voices, perspectives, and identities are
valued and included in intercultural cooperation initiatives,
regardless of cultural background or status.
 Global Citizenship: Encouraging a sense of responsibility and
solidarity among individuals towards global issues and promoting
active engagement in efforts to promote peace, values education,
and intercultural cooperation worldwide.
