And carried Me away - to get published Carried away with rage
And do I smile, such cordial light Personifies gun, smile = gunshot She pretends to not mind When violent, they enjoy it
Opon the Valley glow -
It is as a Vesuvian face Volcanic eruption Irony - a civilization annihilated
Had let it’s pleasure through - said to be happy release of frustration
To foe of His - I’m deadly foe - Deadly to enemies Her words carry a lot of power They have no self-control
None stir the second time - the gun kills instantly
On whom I lay a Yellow Eye - yellow eye = opening in the barrel her critical views Black eyes can heal yellow
Or an emphatic Thumb - Mechanism of loading the gun and bold words are unstoppable physical force
Though I than He - may longer live Mortal master vs immortal gun Women live longer than men Their rage may leave
He longer must - than I - No purpose without master men must live longer The person must die first
For I have but the power to kill, has control over other she cannot publish poems since it will take longer for them
