HED4814 ASSIGNMENT 01

The purpose of this module is to provide students with a deep understanding of


teaching and learning within Psychology of Education theory and introduce them to a
range of readings to enable them to develop innovative and contextually relevant
responses to learning issues. Students are required to investigate and interrogate
knowledge and skills related to the dynamic interrelationship between teaching,
learning within the context of Psychology of Education. The first assignment is aimed
at assessing the student’s knowledge of various discourses related to this field.

The assessment criteria for the first assignment:

• Potential causes of success or failure in typical learning processes are identified


• Problem-based learning in a classroom situation is applied
• The motivation of learners is reflected upon

You are requested to study the literature and watch the videos on page 1 and 2, before
completing the questions on page 3. Students are welcome to supplement the reading
list with their own selection of relevant literature on the condition that the sources are
recognised using the APA referencing style. Refer to the link here below for APA
referencing style guidelines.
