2 Bullying Students at Cilacap Middle School

Become Suspects The Cilacap Police named two students from SMP Negeri 2 Cimanggu with the initials
MK (15) and WS (14) as suspects of violence in a case of bullying or bullying against FF (14). Head of
Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Commissioner Stefanus Satake Bayu, said that
investigators made this determination after examining a number of witnesses and video recordings
circulating on social media.

"Yes, we have named two perpetrators as suspects," said Bayu when confirmed, Friday (29/9). Bayu said
the two perpetrators were charged with multiple articles, namely Article 80 of the Juvenile Criminal
Justice System Law, which carries a sentence of 3.5 years and Article 170 of the Criminal Code which
carries a sentence of 7 years in prison. "This abuse is charged under Article 80 of the SPPA Law and also
layered with Article 170 of the Criminal Code," he explained. Previously, the incident of mistreatment of
junior high school students was recorded in a video that went viral on social media.

In the video, there are several school children gathered. However, most of the abuse and bullying is
carried out by a student who wears a black hat. The perpetrator abused the victim by hitting, dragging,
stomping and kicking him repeatedly until he fell. Meanwhile the victim did not fight back once. He
looked helpless and was moaning in pain. Some of his friends who tried to separate them even received
threats from the perpetrator using Sundanese so they would not interfere. However, there were also
friends who laughed at him and even slapped the victim.
