Below are Gender Expression
Androgynous- is a combination of feminine and
masculine form of expressing gender
Feminine- are qualities or appearance traditionally
associated with women
Masculine- are qualities or appearance traditionally
associated with men
Neutral gender expression- are those that are
different from conventional expectations of
masculinity or femininity
SEXUAL
CHARACTERISTICS
are biological
characteristics such as
chromosomes,
genitalia, hormones and
internal reproductive organ.
PRIMARY SEX
CHARACTERISTICS
are often present at birth
while secondary sex
characteristics often
develop during puberty.
INTERSEX
CHARACTERISTICS
include chromosome patterns, gonads , or
genitals that, according to the Office of the
United Nations High Commissioner for Human
Rights, “do not fit typical binary notions of male
or female bodies”. The expected ‘male’ and
‘female’ pattern are both in the extremes of the
spectrum while the intersex characteristics are
in the wider middle.
The Core Legal Obligations
Protect individuals from homophobic and
transphobic violence.
Prevent torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading
treatment.
Repeal laws criminalizing homosexuality and
transgender people.
Prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation
and gender identity.
Safeguard freedom of expression, association and
peaceful assembly for all LGBTQ+ people.
