MY SCHOOL

I attend …Secondary School/ Grammar School/ Vocational / Technical School. I go to a

special English/ Maths/ Art/ P.E. class. The huge/old/modern school building is situated next
to a park/ on our housing estate/ in our street. There are about … classrooms and they are
decorated with posters, charts, maps, photos of the class. We have our own classroom and I
like it because it is very cosy/well-equipped/ spacious. The
blackboard/desks/chairs/computers is/are in good/bad condition.
We have a library/ a computer lab, a gym and our well-equipped biology, chemistry, language
classrooms offer good opportunities for learning.
We have some strict teachers, but there are some kind and loving ones who are motivating,
challenging and interesting. My classmates are all helpful and kind.
Almost every day I have Maths, Literature, English, German, History, but on Mondays/
Tuesdays I have Biology, Chemistry, Science, Art, P.E. My timetable is quite full on most
days, I usually have…lessons.
My favourite subject is Geography/ English/ History…because I have always been interested
in it. I have never been fond of Maths/ Physics …because it’s too difficult/ I don’t like
learning dates, numbers, words and doing exercises.
I think technology and design/ cooking/household management would be useful to learn. I
don’t understand why we have to study…
When I have to learn stg by heart I usually read it several times. I learn quickly so when we
have a test I never worry/ I am always relaxed. I usually practise a lot for tests/exams.
Our school offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities so it is not easy to choose. Those
students who are good at playing chess, can go to the chess club. If you are fond of folk
music, you can go to folk dance lessons. The school drama group is very successful, but there
are a lot of rehearsals. A lot of students sing in the choir or play in the school orchestra. If you
want to do sports, there are several sports teams.
Some students attend these activities because they are bored, others are interested in them.
I attend study circles in English and German because I am interested in languages. I regularly
go to handball training sessions as well. I am not interested in drama and I can’t sing, so I am
not a member of the choir.

Minden reggel az ébresztőórára ébredek. Tudom, hogy itt az ideje, hogy felkészüljek egy
újabb iskolai napra. Gyors reggeli után, egy pillantás a hátizsákomba, hogy meggyőződjek
róla, minden könyvemmel rendelkezem-e, és már indulok is az ajtón kívülre.

Az iskolába vezető út mindig kaland. Ismerős utcákon sétálok, elhaladva a nyüzsgő üzletek
mellett, és útközben üdvözölve a szomszédokat.

Ahogy megközelítem az iskolai kapukat, csatlakozom a diákok csoportjához, akik belépnek

az épületbe. Az iskola hangos.

Az osztályteremben elfoglalom a megszokott helyemet, mosolyogva köszöntöm

osztálytársaimat. Megérkezik tanárunk, és elkezdődik az óra. Matematika, természettudomány
és nyelvtan óráink vannak. Mindegyik új kihívást és lehetőséget kínálva a tanulásra.

Szünetekben az udvaron gyülekezünk, megosztjuk az uzsonnákat és történeteket. Játékokat

játszunk, rohangálunk, és kieresztjük a gőzt, mielőtt visszatérnénk a tanuláshoz.

Amikor megszólal a csengő a nap végén, összepakolom a cuccaimat és hazaindulok, az

elmém tele minden tanult dologgal. Az iskola néha kihívást jelenthet, de egyben növekedés,
barátság és végtelen lehetőségek helye is.
