CONTENT STANDARD The learners demonstrate understanding of shapes,


colors, values, and the principles of emphasis, contrast
and harmony in printmaking and photography.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD The learners describe the basic concepts and
principles of basic photography.
LEARNING COMPETENCIES

The learner identifies the parts and functions of the
camera (point and shoot or phone camera).
I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Timeframe: 60 minutes
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. identify the parts and functions of the camera.
2. use a camera in accordance with the functions of its parts; and
3. appreciate the beautiful things and memories around using the camera.

Materials: Visual aids, pictures, laptop, concrete objects.

MOTIVATION: Name the Gadgets

The teacher will present to the class some pictures and let the pupils find out the answer.

III. LEARNING EXPERIENCES


ACTIVITY
The teacher will divide the class into two and will be given a paper consisting of letters and cut outs
pictures. They will going to assemble and puzzle it.

Group 1- PHOTOGRAPY
Group 2- CAMERA

ANALYSIS
The teacher will elicit responses from the students using the following students:
 How do you find the activity?
 What techniques did you use in finding the answer?
 What do you think is our topic today?

ABSTRACTION
The teacher will discuss the following:

BASIC PARTS AND FUNCTIONS OF A CAMERA

 Lens- It is the part that focuses and directs incoming light. A


lens can be built in permanently or interchangeably.
 Viewfinder- It is a small window in traditional cameras
through which you look with one eye to focus on a camera.
 Shutter Release- The button or mechanism that is pressed,
clicked, or tapped to.
 Image Sensor - It converts the optical image to an
electronic signal; larger sensors generally can reproduce
colors more accurately.
 Memory Card-It is where the images stored, comes in
different size and speed capacity.
 Flash It is used to augment lighting when natural light is low
or insufficient.

APPLICATION
Group Activity: The class will be grouped into two in the same group and each group will pick an emotion.
Once they’ve pick an emotion, the group will choose a one member to pose that emotion in the class.
EVALUATION

Assessment: Match the parts of the point and shoot camera in column A with the functions in column B. Write
your answers on your answer sheets.

ASSIGNMENT
Capture 5 pictures that can be seen in your respective home. Print and paste it in a long bond paper.
