1. Transfer students admitted to sophomore year must earn 3 Passes. Transfer students admitted to junior year must earn 2 Passes.
2. ASD students admitted in 2012 and thereafter are required to fulfill 2 language courses (6 credits).
Students admitted in 2012-2015 may get an exemption for language course(s) according to UIC language requirement exemption regulations.
Those students who get exempted, or only have to fulfill partial requirements do not earn extra credits, should take other courses in place of language courses.
2. Major credits will be reduced to 36 if a student completes a double major (see next page for more details for double majors).
3. General transfer students get an exemption for Holistic Education and Yonsei RC101 courses.
4. Of the undergraduate elective courses, Chinese(3)(YCF1303) and Japanese(3)(YCF1353) can be counted as Major Elective courses.
5. Up to 4 courses (12 credits) from other majors listed on the UIC website can be counted as ME.
6. If students take more language classes than the language requirement, up to 4 courses (12 credits) of the additional classes will be counted as ME.
7. Students admitted from Spring 2020 must take at least 5 courses from AS ME courses.

1. Only UIC students can apply for a double major within UIC major offerings.
2. For common curriculum requirements, students having a double (2nd) major should follow the CC requirements of their 1st major.
3. Of the undergraduate elective courses, Chinese(3)(YCF1303) and Japanese(3) (YCF1353) can be counted as Major Elective courses.
4. Up to 4 courses (12 credits) from other majors listed on the UIC website can be counted as ME.
5. If students take more language classes than the language requirement, up to 4 courses (12 credits) of the additional classes will be counted as ME.
6. Students admitted from Spring 2020 must take at least 5 courses from ASP ME.
