Trading Assistant

JOB PURPOSE:
The Trading Assistant, you will support the Digital Trading Manager and Inventory Manager ensuring
that sales and profit targets are met through the development of a commercial, well-balanced range in
keeping with Brand guidelines. You will also learn to develop key cross functional relationships with
both internal and external partners. A motivated, self-driven individual that is confident in liaising with
suppliers and fellow colleagues.
Primarily, you’ll be responsible for:
RANGE PLANNING / NEW PRODUCT
 Assist in building a balanced, customer focused range and on boarding products and suppliers.
 Provide administrative support to the business for new product introductions – including set-up /
categorisation / imagery on Bright pearl / Shopify.
 Create buy sheets for Buying reviews and price and margin calculations.
 Manage critical path with varied lead times.
 Market aware; have a keen eye for new brands/suppliers. Be aware of competitor activity and
pricing.
 Work closely with marketing to provide input around product merchandising.
ONGOING PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
 To maintain regular communication with suppliers and to tackle issues in a timely manner.
 Sample management: request/track samples from suppliers to ensure timely photo shoots and
reviews.
 Provide administrative support to the business for ongoing product management – including price
changes, sales, etc.
 Work closely with Inventory Manager to track all product into the business and ensure deadlines
are met.
 Work closely with marketing to provide input around product merchandising.
 Analyse trading information regularly to ensure exits and replenishments are effective, and that
risks and opportunities are identified.
Requirements for the role:
 Able to grasp systems with ease (e.g., Bright pearl, Shopify, Faire, Ankorstore)
 Ability to multi-task and work across competing priorities
 Computer literate – a wiz at Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
 Experience with Photoshop a plus
 A flair for problem solving.

& Eagle) and Wine Director Richard Hanauer, Partner at RPM Restaurants. The menu will focus on
simply prepared dishes made with expertly sourced, seasonal ingredients, with an emphasis on live-fire
cooking. It will also boast one of the largest, exclusively California wine lists in Chicago and feature a
first-of-its-kind tasting room that lets guests experience Napa Valley from Fulton Market.

Catering Assistants are responsible for assisting the Catering Sales Manager in acquiring, maintaining
and servicing catering customers.

Essential Functions

 Assist Catering Sales Manager in the organization of special events and catering orders.
 Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends.
 Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment.
 Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in
written and spoken direction.
 Ability to multitask calmly and effectively under pressure.
 Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels

 Use sales techniques to present and encourage current promotions to guests.
 Follow all steps of service.
 Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions.

 Successfully complete alcohol awareness training
