1. purpose
FH125 open air crawler down the hole drill adopt the new hydraulic technical, low air
consumption, big torque, easily move and change the drilling angle, at the same time,
the rail have compensate function. When drilling, the rail support on the ground, good
stability. This drilling rig is mainly use for open air mine, road construction, water
conservancy, electric station etc hole drilling work

2. Working principle
This drilling rig is drive by a two cylinder diesel engine. Through the wheel box, the
diesel drive two hydraulic pump, produce pressure oil. So that to drive the rotator(8),
Feeding device(9), Walking drive device(22) and 4 cylinder (5, 35, 36,38,39), to
finish all the act. The air from the air compressor enter the DTH hammer(1), push the
piston DTH bit, finish breaking rock, at the same time, under the action of the rotator
and feeding, finish rock drilling work. The rock material in the hole is blow out by the
pressed air

Function of every control valve as below:


1. The handle of Feeding control valve(15) control the feeding device(9), positive
and negative or stop, so that control the rotator feeding or lifting by the track link.
2. The handle of Rotating control valve(16) control the rotator(8) positive and
negative or stop
3. The handle of Cylinder operating valve(17) control every cylinder flex, finish the
support the boom, pitching, swing, compensate
4. The handle of Walking control valve (18),(19) control the drilling rig go ahead, back off,
turn a Conner, brake etc
5. The ball valve(11) of the air inlet tube control the on and off of the inlet tube

Other main part function is as below


1. Rod remove seat(3) is use for orientation function when drilling, for supporting
function when remove the drill rod
2. Tension structure of track link(2), can adjust the degree of tightness of the track link
3. Oil mist device(10) let the lubricant enter the flowing air, lubricate the DTH
hammer
4. Desert air filter(23) filtrate the dust, keep the air to the diesel engine clean. Need
maintain and change often
5. Right of the Radiator(25) cooling the diesel engine by water circulation, left of the
Radiator cooling the hydraulic system. The right side should add water, take care of the water
temperature and pondage
6. Tension structure of track(32) can adjust the degree of tightness of the track.

3. Operation of drilling and maintenance
In order to exert the max effect, extend lift of the drilling rig. The drilling rig should have a special
man for managing, operating, maintaining. The operator should know the structure, principle,
capacity and use and maintenance method of the drilling rig
⑴ Check and debug before operation
1. Check the water, engine oil, diesel oil and the hydraulic oil, lubricating oil in the Oil mist
device, make sure they are archive the demand
2. Check if the joint bolt and nut become loosened or disengaged, the air hose is fix hard
⑵ The operating steps of the drilling rig
1. Start the diesel engine. After the diesel start 10 minute, then start below operation
2. Push the The handle of Walking control valve (18),(19), let the drilling rig walk to the
place where is needed to drill a hole
Notice: When the drilling rig is working, must let the localizer (at the bottom of the rail) support
the ground
3. Open the ball valve on-off of the air inlet tube(11), transport the air to the DTH hammer(1), at
the same time push the Rotating control valve(16), let the rotator(8)drive the drill
rod(6), DTH hammer(1) positive rotation, then push the Feeding control valve(15)
slowly, let the drill bit press close to the ground gently, after the drill bit touch the
ground, the DTH hammer start work.
4. For there is floatstone and crack, at the beginning, operate the Feeding control
valve(15) again and again, ceaselessly lift and feed. So that can blow out the
detritus and sundries, avoid rod block
5. Add drill rod (See Fig. a,b,c)
(1) when the joint of the drill rod close to the Rod remove seat(2), stop air, rotating
and feeding
(2) See Fig.a, enter the wrench.(If the wrench is become flexible a little, can feed the
rotator a little, but not too much), the rotator reverse, when the wrench hit the
baffle, the bolt between the drill rod and rotator is loosened, then lift slowly while
reverse, after completely loosen, stop rotating, lift quickly.
If the rotator and the Reducer union of rotator loosen, see the Fig.b, let the wrench
clamp the place of the Reducer union, positive rotate the rotator, screw down the Reducer
union, then repeat above process
(3) See Fig.c, when lift to the orientation plate of the rail, stop lift, add another drill
rod between the Reducer union of rotator and drill rod, take off the wrench,
positive rotation, feed. In order to remove the drill rod easily, add some lubricant at the screw
of the drill rod.
The rod is finished adding, continue drilling

6. Remove drill rod (See Fig. e,f,g)


(1) When drill hole to your preconcerted depth, stop the air, rotating and feeding,
prepare for removing the drill rod
(2) According to Fig.d, when the second drill rod protrude the end face of the Rod
remove seat (the wrench can enter), stop lift, enter the long wrench, lift slowly while
reverse, until loosen 3~5mm between two rod, stop rotating and lifting.
(3) According to Fig.e, enter another wrench, at the same time reverse and lift slowly,
so that loosen the Reducer union of rotator and upper end of the rod. When the rod

and Reducer union of rotator loosen completely, stop lift, remove the first rod and
wrench
(4) According to Fig.f, positive rotation and feeding, screw down the Reducer union
of rotator and the second rod
(5) repeat above process to remove all the rod

⑶ Matters needing attention during operation and maintenance


1. strictly prohibit operate get out of line under rail
2. Every time, before work, need use air to blow out the sundries in the tube, drill rod,
avoid the sundries enter the DTH hammer
3. The working pressure must not less than 0.7Mpa
4. When drilling, strictly prohibit reverse more than half a cycle, avoid the DTH
hammer and rod drop into the hole
5. When drilling, if the place of the hole moves, adjust promptly
6. In order to make sure the drilling rig keep high effect, achieve normal life, must
strictly timing, fix quantify lubricate maintain.
7-1. part (8), (9), (22), (28), (34) in the Fig1, must add lubricator every 12 hours. (26)
add 20# engine oil every week
7-2. pin roll of the cylinder, need to add lubricant every 20 hours
⑷. Maintenance of hydraulic system
1. If the drilling rig have not work long time, when start the machine, can not big
load directly, should small load work at lease 10 minute
2. Every time before work, should check the height of the hydraulic oil (Usually 1/2
of the meter)
3. After work 500 hours, the hydraulic oil will change color, deteroprate, treacliness
will fall, should change the hydraulic oil immediately (Usually use N46# abrasion
proof hydraulic oil)
4. When change the hydraulic oil, should take all the hydraulic oil in the tank out (include the oil
in the hydraulic part). The sundries in the tank can be taken out by plasticene
5. Every 500 hours should check and clean or change the oil-out filter, oil-in filter.
⑸ Maintenance of diesel
The air filter of this rig is paper filter, should clean every work. Method: take out the
filter, gently hit the dust on the filter off, then use the air from the air compressor to
blow from inside to outside. The air tube should not too close to the filter, and air
pressure should not bigger than 0.3Mpa. The paper must not touch oil, water. After
clean 15 times or discover any broken, should change the paper filter

⑹ Maintenance of DTH hammer
1. The DTH hammer must gained good lubricant, so that can keep its best capability
and long life. The lubricant of the DTH hammer should achieve by the Oil mist
device. FH125 is equipped with QIUb40 Oil mist device. When start work, should
fill full the lubricating oil, to make sure the oil out quantity not less than 70
drop/minute, forbid work without lubricating oil.
The quantity of the out lubricating oil can be controlled by the bolt. Turn widdershins
increase, turn deasil reduce. 80 Drop/minute is the best
2. Lubricating oil
When the temperature is high, should use high treacliness oil, when the temperature is low,
should use low treacliness oil. We recommended below lubricating oil

3. Hammer (Fig.4)

4. Normal trouble and disposal

6. Precaution of safety
1. When the operator close the drilling rig, should wear safety helmet, safety goggles,
respirator, earmuffs, safety shoe, dustproof work clothes

2. Before check and repair the drilling rig, should shut off the main air inlet tube and
main air valve

3. Check and keep all the bolt, nut not become flexible, all the soft tube joint reliably.
Take notice to protect the soft tube, avoid break off

4. Keep the working site clean, avoid caving

5. When the walking motor start, take care of the walking speed of the drill rig. When
traction driven or towed, do not walk between the two machine

6. Make sure the drilling rig is well lubricated, maintain timely, when working, take
care of the oil meter, when open the Oil mist device, shut off the main air valve, also
discharge the air in the tube out

7. When there are some parts broken, do not working with broken part

8. Before supply the air, must use safety rope to bundle the main air tube together
with the drill rig

9. When the drill rig moving, adjust the rail rack and drill boom, keep the machine
balance

10. When blast, should move the drill rig away, avoid the fly rock hurt the drill rig.
When the drilling rig is stop using, clean the dust on the surface of the drill rig.
