II. Session Details
Session Title: Empowering Health Subject MAPEH 9- HEALTH
Choices: Accessing STI and (schedule as per existing Class Program)
and HIV Testing and Time:
Treatment.
Session Objectives: At the end of the session, learners will be able to:

 Understand the importance of accessing local STI and HIV testing and treatment facilities
 Demonstrate how to use resources to locate and access local STI and HIV testing and treatment
services
 Develop a sense of responsibility and awareness regarding one’s sexual health.
Materials: Short videos or animations explaining Sexual and Reproductive Health

read the newspapers they have brought, and engage in a
discussion to share insights and knowledge about the content.
Ice breaker : STI FACT OR FICTION.
Introduction and Present statements reated to the transmission of STIs and ask

warm-up the students to identify whether each statement is a fact or
fiction. Discuss responses to engage students in the topic.
Concept Exploration 15mins Mini-Lecture:

Provide information on the modes of transmission of common


STIs. Highlight preventive measures such as safe sex practices
and vaccination.
Interactive Discussion:
Encourage students to share their understanding and
experiences related to the topic. Address questions and
concerns.

Group Activity:

“Preventive Action Plan”

Divide students into groups and ask them to create a


prevention action plan outlining steps they can take to protect

Group Presentation:

Each group presents their action plan. Facilitate a class


discussion on the importance of individual and collective
responsibility .

“ Reflect on the information about modes of transmission and
