My best vacation was in 2019 when my younger brother and I went to Duitama, Boyacá.
This municipality is very beautiful, it has a very rich gastronomy, splendid landscapes, wonderful
people and very pretty towns, I don't like the music of Boyacá but you could say that it is very
beautiful, I don't have images of my vacations but I am going to tell my experience of this
spectacular and magnificent trip.
We traveled to Duitama for two reasons: the first is where my grandmother and uncles live and the
second is for the wonderful Christmas. We were traveling for about 4 hours until we finally arrived,
we arrived around noon and had a delicious lunch at my uncle's house, we spent the rest of the days
of our vacation in different houses of our relatives, one day we stayed at home.
from my godmother, at other uncles' houses, at my grandmother's houses and so on. My cousins and
I had a lot of fun in the park near their house, it was undoubtedly an unforgettable experience.
My parents and my older brother arrived in Duitama on December 23 because they had to work until
that date.
The next day was Christmas and it was an even more beautiful day than the previous one, a day that
I will never forget, around 9 at night the whole family began to arrive with the gifts, my aunts, my
grandmother and my mother prepared dinner and it was delicious, midnight finally arrived, we
celebrated, we hugged each other wishing Merry Christmas, we opened the gifts. It was a day full of
magic and family love that I will never forget. Before December 31 we took the Christmas tour of the
large towns to see the Christmas decorations, the tour began in Corrales and we passed through
Tibasosa, Nobsa, Duitama and Puente de Boyacá. They are beautiful towns, with wonderful people,
delicious food and really fascinating clothes, they were spectacular days.
On December 31 we met at my uncle's house, at night the whole family also began to arrive and my
uncles prepared New Year's dinner and finally midnight arrived and we all hugged each other to say
Happy New Year and we celebrated a lot and we launch fireworks, it was a very spectacular,
beautiful and unforgettable day for everyone.
Until finally our trip ended on January 5th, which was when we returned home.
That trip for me was one of those trips that you don't expect, it was very beautiful to spend that time
with my family, we spent more than a month there in Duitama, I learned a lot about its culture,
gastronomy and people, that's why I call it MY BEST VACATION and I hope to repeat it again and
continue enjoying a vacation as beautiful as that one.
