Its all about sailing.

Tom Morris

orris Yachts is a company built and run by sailors, for sailors. Tom Morris

began his love affair with sailing as a child, and by the time he jettisoned his

banking career in Philadelphia to start customizing Friendship sloops in

Southwest Harbor, hed formed solid opinions about what a sailing yacht should

and should not be. Being from Maine, the designers and craftspeople who worked with Tom to build

the rst Morris hulls all shared his sailors beliefs and practical instincts. To this day, that harmony of

purpose is reected in the perfect balance, seakindliness, ease

of handling and, of course, incredible beauty and craftsmanship

that are the hallmarks of every Morris. As Tom always said,

There are companies that build boats, then there are those that nurture lasting relationships with their customers. Tom Morris made it a point of pride to meet and get to know every owner, to understand his or her sailing goals, and to build yachts that met those needs. His belief in the virtue of relationships extended to the bonds he forged with employees, business partners and, of course, his son Cuyler, who took over the helm in 2001.
