Baní, Peravia.
In the south of the country, Baní is located, one of the most important cities in the
Peravia province, also known as The capital of the South. This beautiful town has
become a destination par excellence, and no wonder, because thanks to its
amalgamation of attractions, it is stealing the interest of the thousands of tourists who
visit the island. This town also stands out for its gastronomic aspects, where the mango
is its protagonist and main reference in the tourist promotion of the destination, the best
Dominican mango is grown here.
Its tourist offer is impressive and diversified. Below, we share a list of those must-see
places that you should visit when visiting the town of Baní.

Las Dunas de Bani, Baní.


 The first place you should go is to the natural monument Félix Servio
Ducoudray, better known as “Las Dunas de Baní”, located between the towns of
Matanzas, Las Calderas and Las Salinas, it is a small desert that extends 15 km
in a straight line . This is a mandatory place on your next visit since it is one of
the favorite destinations for local and foreign visitors who seek to learn about
the flora and fauna that inhabit this place.

Salinas, Baní. .
 Less than five minutes from The Baní Dunes is this pink paradise, called
Salinas, and it is from where much of the salt is extracted. This place is perfect
for taking photos and learning about the extraction process of this important
mineral, which is imported to different parts of the world. Salt is produced on
terraces, from where seawater evaporates and gives rise to this precious product.
In certain seasons it turns different pink tones, and acquires this color due to a
bacteria that lives within its waters, making it a unique place.

Salto Las Yayitas, Peravia.


You will find in Bani, one of the most beautiful waterfalls that houses the
southern part of our island called “Las Yayitas”, located 22 kilometers north of
the province of Peravia, and to get to it we will have to cross several times
through the different points of the Baní River and then walk approximately 20
minutes until you reach the wonderful water tributary. Upon arrival, we find an
incredible 10-meter-high waterfall, with crystal-clear and warm waters, ready
for you to receive and enjoy a delicious splashdown.
