Note: The verification of final coordinates shall commence two weeks after contract signing
irrespective of contract effective date which shall be jointly conducted by Contractor, Engineer
and Employer.

2.6 Training
The Contractor shall perform, as a minimum, at-site-training during the performance of the
Works as below;
In addition to the training below, the Employer’s personnel shall be given the opportunity to
attend to the installation work at site.
Training shall be indicated in the Contractors Time Schedule. Training program proposed by
the Contractor and training manuals shall be forwarded for review and approval by
Employer/Engineer within two months after the Contract coming into force. Training shall be
conducted in English language and all related teaching material as well as tables, diagrams,
drawings, descriptions what so ever which are part of the O&M-manual shall be in English
language.
The Contractor shall perform training of the Employer’s personnel with focus on the equipment
and system included in the project, consisting of:

2.6.1 Training at Contractor’s home office


The Contractor shall provide specific training to five (5) electrical engineers and five (5) civil
engineers of the Employer staff in Contractor’s main design offices. Training shall be specific
to the Project and shall include, but not limited to, Software used for survey specifically for
Transmission line and to specific to include, Power line mapping and survey by using ‘Drones’,
processing of ‘3D’ satellite image by using Autodesk land development latest software,
foundation design, tower design and detailing, Transmission line design, Conductors, OPGW,
Insulators, the use of PLS Tower or similar tower design software, Load flow analysis, Line
Protection, Construction ,Documentation, Routine tests, Maintenance procedures and the use
of the PLS CADD, XL, GPS software, ARC GIS, MS PROJECT, or similar profiling software,
both of which shall be provided as part of the Contract. Furthermore, the Contractor shall train

the Employer’s staff in conducting the Type Tests and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on
construction materials relevant for the contract hereof. Each Employer’s personnel shall be
required to spend a minimum of eight (8) weeks at the Contractor’s design office(s) for training
purposes.

The Contractor shall submit notification and training programme to the Employer for review
and approval within six weeks after contract signing. The training shall commence not later
than the fourth week after training programme approval.

The Employer shall meet all the costs that associated with its personnel attending the training
that shall be provided at the Contractor’s home office.

NOTE:
 The Contractor shall be responsible for provision of Training handouts, Manuals and
referred International Standards in the Training Materials in hard copies and in
softcopies through Flash Discs to each of the Employer’s Personnel attending the
training;
 The set of training materials in softcopy shall be reproduced in hard copy and handed
over to Employer’s Personnel at Employer’s Home Office (Project Office);
 The Contractor shall submit the training materials in softcopy format at least one week
prior to commencing the training programme; and
 The Contractor shall ensure that each Employer’s personnel attending training shall be
equipped with individual training facilities/ tools/ computers, i.e., sharing of training
materials/ equipment/ tools/ laptops shall not be allowed, during practical training
which includes but not limited to all Software mentioned under Section 2.6.1 (like PLS
Tower, PLS CADD, etc.,).

2.6.2 Classroom and On-the-job Training

The Contractor shall provide the on-site training to the Employer’s Staff (Ten (10) Electrical
Engineers and Ten (10) Civil Engineers) for at least four (4) weeks during all stages of the
installation works. The Contractor shall be responsible for provision of Training handouts,
Manuals and referred International Standards in the Training Materials in hard copies and in
softcopies through Flash Discs to each of the Employer’s Personnel attending the On-
Classroom/ On-Job-Training.

In addition to that training shall be agreed upon prior teaching of the related subject and prior
installation and commissioning of the related equipment and systems. Minimum duration for

the classroom training for each subject shall be about three (3) days. Classroom training at site
and practical training shall include but not limited to the following subjects: -
 Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL):
- Survey works
- Foundation works
- Erection works
- Stringing works
- General operation
- Maintenance procedures
 Field Training performed during installation and commissioning work at site,
see subjects above; and
 Technicians training during commissioning and defects liability period including general
system operation and fault location for one week in classroom and two weeks on the job.

2.7 Spare Parts, Tools and Test Equipment


All supplies that are to be handed over to the Employer and is not part of the erection works
shall be delivered to an address informed by the Employer.

2.7.1 Required Spare Parts


The Contractor shall include, as a minimum, all required spare parts as indicated in price
schedules.
Stubs and cleats shall be supplied as spare parts for all installed tower types. The quantity to
be supplied shall be 3% of the installed foundations.
Spare parts stubs and cleats shall be packed foundations by foundation complete with all bolts
and nuts. Packing shall be suitable for long time storage.

2.7.2 Maintenance Tools, Equipment, Vehicels and Machine


The Contractor shall include, as a minimum, all required maintenance tools, equipment,
vehicles and Machine, as listed in the following table, in Price Schedules (Applicable for Lot
1 and Lot 3).
