II. Analysis
The story entitled “3 little Pigs” includes five basic
elements of a story. As a reader you should be keen
enough in identifying each element.
Knowing the elements of a story is significant to
you as a reader. Do you know why? It is because
these elements allow you to follow the whole story
clearly and logically.
Here are the elements of a short story
These are the Characters, Setting, Plot, Theme, and
Point of View
Who among of you can read the first element?
1. Characters refer to people, animals, or objects
that talk and take part in the story.
Can you enumerate the characters involved in the
story “Little Red Riding Hood”
2. Setting is the time and place in which the story
happens.
Can you tell me the setting of the story “ Little Red
Riding Hood”
3. Plot is the sequence of events that shapes a
narrative or a story
“ Now its time to unravel the story entitlled 3 little
pigs”
“Please take note of the sequence of the story”
III. Abstraction
ACTIVITY 4: Group Activity
Group 1: Arrange the pictures from the very beginning
to the last.
Group 2: Match the pictures in to its corresponding
scenario.
Group 3: Fill in the story map with the correct pictures
in each of the station.
