through creating simple short chants or raps specific information and details of
simple sentences
1) By the end of the lesson most pupils will be able to: Respond imaginatively and
intelligibly through creating simple short chants or raps by listening to chant and point to
a least 10 images correctly with guidance.
Objectives
2) By the end of the lesson some pupils will be able to: Understand with support specific
information and details of simple sentences by creating a simple chant using given
sample in groups with guidance.

LEARNING OUTLINES:
Pre Lesson Teacher revises on flags learnt in previous lesson.
1. Teacher shows a video song entitled ‘Small World’.
• Students look at the video.
2. Teacher writes a simple chant on a country.
• eg : Come to Canada, come to Canada,
You can see lakes and mountains,
You can ride a horse in the forests.
• Students will be asked to repeat the chant after the teacher.
Lesson Development
3. Pupils will be divided into a few groups. (MIX)
• Each group would be given two piece of papers
• They are to cut and paste the images to the right flag/country
• Students then will write new simple chants based on the images using the sample of short
chant from earlier as guidance.
4. Each group would come out and say their chant.
- the other pupils will listen and point at the right images.
Teacher have the students display their chant in front of the class.

• Prompts students if they need it and then write Fruit above one list and Vegetables above
another.
• Elicit other fruit and vegetables that they know
1. Students look at the picture. Read each word aloud. Students repeat.
• Reads the activity instruction aloud and check students know what to do.
• Provides the language: … is/are my favourite fruit/vegetable(s).
• Students discuss their ideas in groups of three.
• Check and discuss as a class.
2. Students do the activity in their students’ book. (Look and stick. Are they fruit or vegetables?)
3.Teaher reads the activity instruction aloud.
Lesson Development
• Check students know what to do.
• They place the stickers in the crates first and then compare ideas in pairs.
• Checks with the class before students stick their stickers in place.
• Elicits other fruit or vegetables that they know.

4. Students will need to complete an exercise on WB p54 (Find the fruit and vegetables)
