Sample Project Proposal Outline

Section 1: Project Information

Name of the Organization: NON-FORMAL EDUCATION
Project Title: TREES (Tutorial to Reach and Educate Elementary Students)
Project Summary: Lend what we have and do what we can is the aim of TREES PROJECT. The
TREES PROJECT is an integrated activity of CHMSC students wherein we will conduct an
everyday tutorial on selected children of our community. The aim of this project is to lend a hand
to those children who struggles in their learning through tutoring session to lessen the burdens of
the teachers and parents. We want to help those children who struggles the most in answering their
modules and improve their learning process. We will impart new knowledge to the children
wherein this knowledge will be useful for them. We will serve as there support and guide for
improving their learning process even we are facing the pandemic. We want to encourage children
that pandemic is not the reason to stop learning but instead it is an inspiration and determination to
keep going.
Project Timeframe: The TREES PROJECT will cover five (5) consecutive days starting March 15,
2021 up to March 19, 2021.

Section 2: Project Summary

Lend what we have and do what we can is the aim of TREES PROJECT. The TREES
PROJECT is an integrated activity of CHMSC students wherein we will conduct an everyday
tutorial on selected children of our community. The aim of this project is to lend a hand to those
children who struggles in their learning through tutoring session to lessen the burdens of the
teachers and parents. We want to help those children who struggles the most in answering their
modules and improve their learning process. We will impart new knowledge to the children
wherein this knowledge will be useful for them. We will serve as their support and guide for
improving their learning process even we are facing the pandemic. We want to encourage children
that pandemic is not the reason to stop learning but instead it is an inspiration and determination to
keep going.
During the day of every activity, the tutees are obliged to attend the tutorial session and be
able to tutor the assigned children to them. The project will be conducted at Brgy. Payauan
Candoni, Negros Occidental. We choose Brgy. Payauan because we see that there are learners that
were not able to adapt the new normal mode of learning and they can’t easily develop their
learning process. The said tutorial will cover five consecutive days starting March 15, 2021 up to
March 19, 2021 and it will range 3 hours in the morning and another 3 hours in the afternoon
which is 30 hours in total. Since we are facing the pandemic, strict implementation of wearing
facemask and social distancing will be conducted.
Project Background
The global lockdown of education institutions is going to cause major (and likely
unequal) interruption in students’ learning; disruptions in internal assessments; and the
cancellation of public assessments for qualifications or their replacement by an inferior
alternative. This column discusses what can be done to mitigate these negative impacts.

The COVID-19
pandemic is first and
foremost a health
crisis. Many countries have (rightly) decided to close schools, colleges and universities. The
crisis crystallises the dilemma policymakers are facing between closing schools (reducing
contact and saving lives) and keeping them open (allowing workers to work and maintaining the
economy). The severe short-term disruption is felt by many families around the world: home
schooling is not only a massive shock to parents’ productivity, but also to children’s social life
and learning. Teaching is moving online, on an untested and unprecedented scale. Student
assessments are also moving online, with a lot of trial and error and uncertainty for everyone.
Many assessments have simply been cancelled. Importantly, these interruptions will not just be a
short-term issue, but can also have long-term consequences for the affected cohorts and are
likely to increase inequality.
COVID-19 pandemic has brought a great impact to all the learners around the globe. Due
to the continuation of the new mode of learning, we organize a tutoring program to address this
problem not for everyone but for those selected children of our community. We see that they are
in need of assistance for their learning progress. We want to lend a hand not financially but
through imparting knowledge where can be useful them. Because we believe that every child has
the right to learn new knowledge and be able to proceed and continue their learning. Children is
still the hope of our society and every child has the right for education not to be stuck in the new
mode of learning that makes them loss their motivation.
Project Objectives Use this section of the proposal to explicitly list the goals that the project is
trying to achieve.
 This time of pandemic has brought the learners difficulty towards their learning process.
Face to face classes has been stopped for the safety of every individuals. It brought the
learners not to learn easily because they were not able to cope up the new mode of learning.
We as a future educators see this situation, so instead of some community programs we
choose tutorial programs. Learners have difficulty in answering modules and struggling on
how to learn. The aim of this project is to lend a hand to those children who struggles in
their learning through tutoring session to lessen the burdens of the teachers and parents.
And at the end of this program, the children will learn a lot and can now be able to answer
their module and submit it on the given time.
Listed below are some of the additional objectives of our program:
 To improve the learning process of the children
 To encourage children to continue answering their modules
 To change the mind-set of the young ones regarding the new normal mode of learning
 To lessen the burden of parents and teachers in mentoring the children

 Project Deliverables
After accomplishing this program, the selected tutees of Brgy. Payauan are expected to
learn the lessons that were being discussed or thought to them. They are expected to learn
and answer their modules based on the subjects given and expected to pass on the allotted
time provided by the teachers

Section 5: Conclusion
The main purpose of this project is to lend a hand to those children who struggles in their
learning through tutoring session to lessen the burdens of the teachers and parents. And at the end
of this program, the children are expected to learn a lot and be able to answer their module and
submit it on the given time. The program will be conducted at Brgy. Payauan Candoni, Negros
Occidental vacant house of Hermosura family starting March 15, 2021 up to March 19, 2021
ranging 6 hours a day (3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon).

To sum it up, the main focus of this community program (TREES) is to encourage children to
keep going and adapt the new normal mode of learning. We believe that this community program will
lessen the burdens of the parents and teachers which will also help the children to cope up with the new
normal. It is better to teach young minds because they are the ones who will gladly listen. Education is for
everyone and no one has the right to take it away from the child even the COVID-19 pandemic.
