NOTIFICATION

No. C-1(1)/2011 GB Council.- The following amendments are hereby


notified in Gilgit-Baltistan Council Rules of Procedure and Conduct of
Business, 2010.

2. Amendments.

(1) Rule 16 (I) Chapter V shall be substituted as under.-

“Days of sitting.- (1) The council shall meet for, not less than
28 working days in each parliamentary year (7 working days in
each quarter). Where from, not more than one hundred twenty
days shall intervene, between the last sitting of the Council, in one
session, and date appointed for its first sitting in the next
session.”

(2) In Rule 124 (1) Chapter XV , after the phrase, “In addition to the
Standing Committee on Public Accounts” the words “and Business
Advisory” shall be inserted.

(3) After the Rule 129 in Chapter XV, Rules 129-A and 129-B
shall be inserted as follow.-

Business Advisory Committee.

129-A. Composition.- The chairman may nominate a Committee called,


Business Advisory Committee consisting of not more than five members
including the Minister-in-Charge, as Chairman of the Committee.

129-B. Functions.- (1) The Committee to recommend the time that


should be allocated for discussion of the stage or stages of such official Bills
and other Business as the Chairman may direct, for being referred to, the
Committee.

(2) That Committee shall have the powers to indicate, in the


proposed timetable, the different hours, at which the various stages of
the Bill or other Business shall be completed.

(3) The Committee shall have such other functions as may be


assigned by the Chairman from time to time.
