Excerpts from the minutes of the meeting of the Supreme Student Government of Union
National High School held at the SSG Office dated July 20, 2018 at 4:00-5:00 pm.
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 9003 otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste
Management Act of 2000 strongly emphasizes the following:
(1) Littering, throwing, dumping of waste matters in public places are strictly prohibited.
WHEREAS, all classrooms should have three Garbage Bins, 1 for Bio-degradable, 1 for
the Non-biodegradable wastes and another 1 for the recyclables (plastic bottles and
cans).
WHEREAS, the Supreme Student Government has already coordinated with the Malay
Municipal Solid Management Board, and it was agreed that the solid wastes of the
school will be collected every _________ of the week. The board strictly adheres to NO
SEGREGATION, NO COLLECTION POLICY.
WHEREAS, every classroom should provide a big black plastic bag to be used in
segregating wastes ready to be collected by the Malay Solid Waste Management
Collector.
WHEREAS, the SSG officers with the help of the YES-O, BOYSCOUT AND GIRLS
SCOUT officers will check the classrooms everyday if proper segregation is followed.
Violation ticket will be issued to students and sections who will be caught violating this
Act.
WHEREAS, the SSG will impose a fine of 100.00 Php for classrooms that are not
observing proper segregation of wastes at source.
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that all students are penalized for non-
compliance to the strict implementation of the Solid Waste Management program of
Union National High School.
