SUCCESS CRITERIA : 1. Pupils can answer at least 3/5 comprehension questions based on the text clues.
2. Pupils can answer by using the structures given ‘I’m from…I’m…’correctly.
3. Pupils can match at least 4/6 pictures to the corresponding sentence.

ACTIVITIES NOTES
i. PRE-LESSON (6 min.) : 1. Introduce the topic of the lesson using the picture of a mummy to
find out what pupils know about this topic
ii. LESSON DEVELOPMENT : 1. Pupils open their book to page 6 and point out the words in the
(49 min.) vocabulary sections. (CD1 – Track 6)
2. Say the words in random order and have pupils repeat and point.
3. Show pupils the picture of the mummy again to guess the meaning
of alive.
4. Play the CD and pupils do shadow reading. (CD1 – Track 7)
5. Teacher asks some comprehension questions.
6. Follow instruction in Teacher’s book for Grammar Box, by asking
and answering question. E.g., ‘Where are you from? I’m from…
I’m…’.
7. Pupils read and match each picture to the corresponding sentence.
(Activity 3)
iii. POST-LESSON (5 min.) : 1. Draw pupils’ attention to the value and read it aloud.
2. Explain it and discuss it with them drawing examples from the
text.
