Self-Diagnostic Function EKS004MA I

Self-diagnostic functions include segment check of odometer/trip meter, check of fuel warning lamp, and con-
tinuity check of meter control circuits and all meters (speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, engine coolant
temperature gauge). J

Self-Diagnosis Procedure EKS004MB

1. Turn the ignition switch ON, and switch the odometer/trip meter to trip “A” or trip “B”. DI
NOTE:
If the diagnosis function is activated with trip meter “A” displayed, the mileage on trip meter “A” is reset to
0.0 km (same as trip meter “B” display). L
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3. While pressing the odometer/trip meter switch, turn the ignition switch ON again.
4. Check that the trip meter displays “0000.0”. M
5. Press the odometer/trip meter switch at least 3 times in 5 seconds.
6. All odometer/trip meter segments illuminate. At same time, fuel
warning lamp illuminates. At this time, meter control unit assem-
bly has switched to diagnosis mode.
NOTE:
If any segments are not displayed, replace odometer/trip meter
together with meter control unit assembly.

7. Press the odometer/trip meter switch. In the normal status, the meters and gauges display as shown in
the figure while the odometer/trip meter switch is pressed and held (at this time, the low-fuel warning lamp
goes off).
