Personal Statement

I am Aisha Imran from Rawalpindi, Pakistan. My highest qualification is Intermediate, which I

completed from Punjab College in August 2023 with specialization in Commerce. Later on, I
completed my secondary school education from Viqar-Un-Nisa Noon Girls Higher Secondary Institute
in 2021 and achieved A1 grade. I have also done IELTS exam with the overall of 6.5 Bands. My abilities
have greatly improved in this position, and it has also equipped me for the next phase of my academic
and career development.
Now, I decided to further my skills and education in learning Bachelor in Accounting and Finance and
creative practices.

Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance at the Abertay University. The reason I choose this
program is because it addresses several of the aspects that are important for my study, including:
Business Economics, Accounting, Digital Marketing Principals, Business Analytics, Financial
Accounting, Taxation and Management. It was important for me to study this in United Kingdom and
more specifically Dundee because it has both a strong creative and design start-up community, and a
blooming Innovative market which is an excellent resource to conduct my study on. Also, the Abertay
University is also known as “Dundee City Centre”. This university has a large international community
of international students and is surrounded by some amazing places in Dundee, Scotland and it is also
promoted as the City of Discovery.

Pakistan’s creative start-up community is still in its early stages, and Accounting and Finance training
in the country is still underdeveloped compared to United Kingdom. By comparing Rawalpindi’s
current stage, to Dundee’s more advanced community and developed market, my goal is to learn about
Dundee’s collective Accounting and Finance journey.

After completing my proposed course in United Kingdom, I'll shift back to my home country; my aim is
to mastering a diverse range of design techniques, building a compelling portfolio. I aim to actively
participate in industry events, network with professionals, and stay updated on the latest trends.
Continuous learning and seeking mentorship are integral parts of my journey to ensure long-term
success in this dynamic field. Also, my future careers include Accountant, Financial Analyst,
Management Consultant, Corporate Finance Analyst, Financial Planner, Budget Analyst, Forensic
Accountant, Credit Analyst, Compliance Officer and more. I also may choose to specialize further by
pursuing additional certifications or entering higher-level programs for advanced career prospects.

I am eager to pursue this Bachelor’s with Abertay University, as it will provide the space and resources
I need to research and develop Accounting and Finance strategies in social, healthcare and business
including studying their different creative culture systems to identify optimum models for future
development of our field.
