Duration 10 week days, from 08h00 – 16h00, at Protech Training Center

TRAINING INFORMATION
Included in this training are:
1. Patch - up and maintenance painting techniques and care of equipment and tools
2. Wiring removable electrical plugs (for lights, televisions etc.)
3. Electrical safety and Basic electrical fault finding
4. Basic plumbing tasks –
 Cisterns, Toilets
 Setting flushing
 Fitting and installing PVC Pipes
 Repairing leaks in PVC and steel systems
 Drain pipes
 Handling bad smells
5. Understanding balancing valves (Basic principles)
6. Maintenance tasks - Tile replacement and tile laying
7. Furniture maintenance and repair
8. RPL/ Assessments
The process of RPL is as follows:
 Identifying what a person knows and can do, and what he wants to do
 Matching the person’s knowledge, skills and experience to specific standards and the associated assessment
criteria of a qualification;
 Assessing the learning against those standards;
