RESOLUTION NO. 06-S-2024

“A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SK CHAIRPERSON JERICK C. DELA CRUZ

AND SK TREASURER LYRA MAE D.C VILLANUEVA TO OPEN, DEPOSIT,
WITHDRAW, ENDORSE OR NEGOTIATE CHECK, OTHERWISE DEAL WITH THE
LANDBANK OF THE PHILIPPINES-MUÑOZ BRANCH AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES REGARDING THE ACCOUNT OF BARANGAY CATALANACAN,
SCIENCE CITY OF MUÑOZ SK”

WHEREAS, the passage of Republic Ace 10742 also known as “SK Reform Act of
2015” provides for the establishment of Sangguniang Kabataan. Its main purpose is to afford the
youth a medium to effectively express their views and opinions and to participate in barangay
governance. In order to fulfill its mandate to uplift the general welfare of youth, it should assume
the role as active, supportive and participating, projects, strategies and other initiatives. It is
provided with powers and resources to become partners in nation building.
 WHEREAS, in accordance to the above provision of the law, Sangguniang Kabataan
Council are obliged to open an account to any government depository bank for all the
transactions to be made by the federation.
WHEREAS, it is noble intention of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Catalanacan
to safeguard all the funds that may be collected by the SK Municipal or Provincial in the
Exercise of its power and as well as those shares coming from the lower federation.
WHEREAS, Landbank of the Philippines - Muñoz Branch shall be official depository
bank of “BARANGAY CATALANACAN SK” since the seat of the BARANGAY
CATALANACAN is situated at Science City of Muñoz;
WHEREAS, Hon. Jerick C. Dela Cruz and Hon. Lyra Mae D.C Villanueva are hereby
authorize to OPEN, DEPOSIT, WITHDRAW, ENDORSE OR NEGOTIATE CHECK,
OTHERWISE DEAL WITH THE LANDBANK OF THE PHILIPPINES and shall be the
official signatories of all the transactions to be made under the account of “BARANGAY
CATALANACAN SK” by virtue of being elected officers of the federation.
NOWTHEREFORE, on motion of Hon. PATRICIA ANN R. RUBIO and duly
seconded by all the members present to pass and approved “A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE SK CHAIRPERSON JERICK C. DELA CRUZ AND SK
TREASURER LYRA MAE D.C VILLANUEVA TO OPEN, DEPOSIT, WITHDRAW,
ENDORSE OR NEGOTIATE CHECK, OTHERWISE DEAL WITH THE LANDBANK
OF THE PHILIPPINES – MUÑOZ BRANCH AND FOR THE OTHER PURPOSES
REGARDING THE ACCOUNT “BARANGAY CATALANACAN SK”.

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to forward copies of this resolution to

concerned authorities for their information and action.
