find the Course to steer and engine speed required to reach Port Talbot Pilot station

setting 250°(T) at 3.5 kts. At 0920 hrs St Gowan Lt Vessel was observed to bear 326°(T)
X4.0'. Find the correct Set and Rate of current. Eng Spd:- 12 kts.ANS:- CTS:- 353°(T),
Actual set and rate of current :-256°(T) X 2.5 kts.
Q8. A vessel observes Caldey Is Lt Ho( 51° 38' N, 004° 41' W) to bear 270(T) at 0400 hrs. The
visibility then becomes verypoor. Find safe courses to steer toarrive at Port Talbot Pilot
Station(51° 29.0' N, 004° 00' W),if current was setting 050°(T) at 2 kts.At what time
should the vessel make the final alteration of course. Eng Spd :-12 kts ANS:- 188°(T),
