REVIEW- Case Study- what happens when Peer-Link goes down

 Earlier we discussed the case when Keepalive goes down, we found that there was no impact to
VPC operation.
 Now, it is time to shutdown L2 link i.e. Peer Link.
 I am assuming that Peer-Keepalive link is UP and running when We Shutdown Peer-Link.
 Port eth1/30 is part of Port channel 1 and being used for Peer-Link.
 We will shut down this link
 Also please do not forget to check the VPC Roles before shutting down this Peer-Link.
 Though VPC uses both parent switches for sending and receiving data- but VPC Role plays
important role in this scenario.
 Once Peer-Link goes down then VPC Secondary Switch Suspends the Member ports and stops
the VPC operation on VPC Secondary Role Switch.
 The “DOWN” Information is passed using Keepalive Link.
 So There is NO Impact to VPC operation i.e. to Traffic. However, Secondary VPC Switch
suspends the operation to Avoid Split-Brain Scenario.
