1. Purpose: The purpose of this method statement is to outline the procedures and safety measures for repairing cracks in Ucrete flooring to
ensure the longevity and structural integrity of the flooring system.

2. Persons and Responsibilities:

 Site Engineer:
 Overall supervision of the crack repair work.
 Coordination with the Pucrete workers and Safety Engineer.
 Safety Engineer:
 Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
 Conducting safety briefings for all personnel involved.
 Monitoring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
 Pucrete Worker:
 Execution of crack repair procedures.
 Proper handling of materials and equipment.
 Following safety guidelines and reporting any hazards immediately.

3. Materials & Equipment:

 Materials:
 Pu Sealant
 Pucrete (repair material)
 Equipment:
 Silicon Gun
 Electrical Distribution Box (DB)
 Cutter
 Vacuum for dust extraction

1. Site Preparation:
 Ensure the work area is cordoned off and properly marked.
 Set up the electrical DB for power tools.
 Inspect and test all equipment to be used.
2. Crack Preparation:
 Identify and mark hairline cracks.
 Use a cutter to widen the crack to approximately 1 inch.
 Employ a vacuum system for dust extraction during cutting.
3. Sealing with Pu Sealant:
 Apply Pu Sealant into the widened crack using a silicon gun.
 Ensure the sealant is evenly distributed, and excess is removed.
4. Pucrete Patch Work:
 Mix Pucrete according to manufacturer specifications.
 Apply the Pucrete mix to create a patch over the sealed crack.
 Smooth and level the patch to match the surrounding Ucrete surface.
5. Curing and Inspection:
 Allow sufficient time for the Pucrete patch to cure.
 Inspect the repaired area for any imperfections or issues.

5. Health & Safety:

 All personnel must wear appropriate PPE, including gloves and eye protection.
 Use a vacuum system during crack cutting to minimize dust exposure.
 Emergency response procedures should be communicated and understood by all workers.
