Project: Fun Mini Bin

Fun mini bin is a project that is transforming waste into eco-friendly product. The
purpose of this fun mini bin is to put little trash in this little trash bin. Furthermore, it saves
time especially if we’re in class and want to sharpen our pencils, where we can just put the
pencils shavings in this little fun mini bin and not need to go outside. This inspiration came
up during night prep at home when I sharpened my pencils and put pencil shavings in a
disposable drinking cup.
Materials used to make this fun mini bin are pencil, disposable drinking cup, color
paper, scissor, ruler , glue and black marker.
First step is to draw circle using pencils according to circle of the cup on colour
paper. Using scissor, cut the paper based on the draw line. Use the rest of the colour paper
to draw rectangle as shown in the illustration and glue the end of the rectangle to the cup.
Then, draw another reactangle on colour paper and write “PUSHME” using black marker and
glue the end of it on top of the cup. To make it fun, you can draw or put anything you like
around the cup.
Art has the ability to inspire people and evoke emotions. By preserving art, future
generations can be inspired by the beauty, creativity and innovation of the artwork. As for
myself, this project provide an outlet for self-expression and creativity, and help to develop
important life skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking and communication.
