ATS Service Manual N America, Europe, Korea, Other IO 12234458 Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning | Specifications |
Document ID: 4543612
Specification
Note: Compressor failure can occur if the oil removed during refrigerant recovery is not replaced.
The service compressors are shipped with 41 ml² (1.4 oz²) of PAG oil. Refer to the oil balance instructions for information
regarding the specific service compressor oil charge. Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing
¹ Abrupt refrigerant loss due to large leak, hose rupture, collision, or pressure relief valve opening. Conditions that allow the
refrigerant to seep or bleed off over time do not cause large amount of PAG oil loss. Upon replacement of a component that
caused a large refrigerant loss, add the required amount of PAG oil for the particular component.
² If more than the specified amount of PAG oil was drained from a component, add the amount drained.
³ This vehicle has a refrigerant charge operational tolerance of – .07 kg to + .03 kg / – 0.154 lbs to + 0.066 lbs. If refrigerant charge
falls outside of this range, please refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) System Performance Test.
