Natnael's speech for freshman students

Ladies and gentlemen,

Good morning! As a second-year student, I am Honore to address and offer some advice to our
remarkable freshman students. This is important time in their lives, filled with excitement, challenges,
and endless possibilities. Let us take a moment to reflect on their journey and share some valuable
insights to help them navigate this transformative phase.

[Structure 2: Main Speech]

Dear freshman students, as you begin this new chapter, I want to offer you three key pieces of advice
that I believe will guide you towards a successful and fulfilling college experience.

1. Get New Experiences: College is a time of growth and self-discovery. It’s an opportunity to step
out of your comfort zone and get new experiences. Attend campus events, join clubs and
organizations, and engage with your peers. Take classes outside of your major, explore different
disciplines, and discover new passions. The more you open yourself up to new experiences, the
more you’ll learn about yourself and the world around you.

2. Seek Support and Build Connections: college life can be overwhelming, but remember that
you’re not alone. Reach out for support when you need it. Seek guidance from professors,
advisors, and campus resources. Build connections with your classmates and form study groups.
Surround yourself with a supportive network of friends who will celebrate your successes and
help you through challenging times. Remember, we are all here to support and uplift one
another.

3. Prioritize Self-Care and Balance: It’s crucial to prioritize self-care and find a balance that works
for you. Take time to rest, eat well, and exercise. Practice mindfulness and engage in activities
that bring you joy and relax. Remember, taking care of your physical and mental well-being is
essential for your overall success and happiness.

[Structure 3: Conclusion]8
In conclusion, dear freshman students, embrace this exciting journey with an open heart and mind.
Embrace new experiences, seek support, and prioritize self-care. Remember that college is not solely
about academic achievements but also about personal growth and self-discovery.

As second-year students, we are here to support you and cheer you on. Together, let us create a
nurturing and inclusive community where each and every one of us can thrive and make a positive
impact.

Congratulations all of you for joining AAU, and I know that you have the potential to achieve great thing.
Believe in yourself, never give up through challenges, and make the most of this transformative time.

Thank you for your attention, and best wishes to our exceptional freshman students.
