development for our partner communities. (The University’s initiative can be referred from the activities
on Radiance Journal as reflected on the QRCode link.)
POST-NSTP (REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS)
Give your thoughts on the learnings you gained through this course, its relation to your duties as a
citizen and your future actions in fulfilling your commitment to the community.
Student’s Answer:

Several months later, I can see that takeaway from this class is the reality that it has expanded my
perception of civic duties and community engagement. The class has given me the opportunity to
understand themes like sustainable development, social responsibility and the significance of being an
agent for change that our communities can rely on.

Therefore, it became clear to me that the interconnection between environmental, social and economic
factors is one of the key parameters of sustainable development. This knowledge gives me a good
understanding of the situation and I clearly realize that the main barrier to community development is
people themselves. Now, I do not see my role limited to my personal actions, but I am ready to take active
part in initiatives for environmental sustainability and social well-being. I am ready to advocate greater
collaboration among people and be more committed to the cause.

In addition, the course has strengthened me to have a strong ethical decision-making approach and to
look at both the short and long-term consequences of my actions for the environment, society, and the
economy. It has spurred the process of critical thinking, empathy, and an inclination to act in the best
interests of future generations.

Serving the community, I hope to apply the insight gained from this course. This includes being actively
involved in community projects related to natural preservation, driving green lifestyles, and assisting
employment-generation programs and other initiatives like healthcare and education.

Also, for me it is important to reach out to community and collaborate with local authorities, government
institutions and non-profit organizations in order to combine forces and optimize my social
entrepreneurial performance. Through my skills, knowledge and assets I wish to make my community a
better place to live in and also become an integral part of the overall development of my community.

All in all, I can say that this course has represented a milestone in the process of my consciousness raising
as a citizen who takes an involved, committed, and active part in public issues and the prospects of the
planet we live in.
