Mobile Devices Introduction

 A Mobile devices is a small computing device, typically,


small enough to hold and operate in the hand and having
an operating system capable of running mobile apps.
These may provide a diverse range of functions. Typically,
the device will have a display screen with a
small numeric or alphanumeric keyboard or
a touchscreen providing a virtual keyboard and buttons
(icons) on-screen.
History of Mobile Devices

 The history of mobile phones, covers mobile communication


devices which connect wirelessly to the public switched telephone
network.
 Along with the process of developing more portable technology,
and better interconnections system, have taken place in both the
networking of wireless communication and the prevalence of its
use, with smartphones becoming common globally and a growing
proportion of Internet access now done via mobile broadband.
Smart Phone
 smartphone is a mobile phone (also known as cell phones or cell
mobiles) with an advanced mobile operating system that combines
features of a personal computer operating system with other features
useful for mobile or handheld use Smartphones, which are pocket-
sized, typically combine the features of a mobile phone, such as the
abilities to place and receive voice calls and create and receive text
messages, with those of other popular digital mobile
devices like personal digital assistants (PDAs), such as an event
calendar, media player, video games, GPS navigation, digital
camera and digital video camera.
