The Internal Revenue Service’s Statistics of Income Division collects data from Form 8283, Noncash Charitable
Contributions. Individual taxpayers use this form when the amount of taxpayer deductions for all noncash donations
on Schedule A, Itemized Deductions, exceeds $500.
