NOTE: The fan module in slot 6 does not report as installed. It was moved to slot 3
(serial number 619) to show that it works and that slot 6 could be the issue. The
evidence of this can be found on the show inventory 2.doc.
NOTE: The Line Cards do not show as being installed in the system. They do not
have any lights on the units to show they are working when the system is powered
on.

NOTE: the 8 x PSU’s do not report in the show inventory command, but they are all
installed, and they do all work. The PSUs were removed and replaced in various
slots to prove this.

Cosmetic Summary: The pallet box has a hole in the top of it.

The PSU in slot 3 is damaged. It can be removed and replaced. The remaining
PSUs are undamaged. They can be removed and replaced with out issue.

7808R3-FM (removed and reinstalled after the 7800R3-48 CQ-LC were


removed)
All 6 x 7808R3-FM were removed without issue despite the chassis damage. The
fan modules all have twisted connectors. (see photo named fan modules).

7800R3-48 CQ-LC x 6: (removed from system but NOT REINSTALLED)


Serial Number SGD22483998 is twisted/warped. It leans from left to right. Half of
the connector pins are stuck inside the chassis still; they are no longer connected to
the 7800R3-48 CQ-LC line card. (they have been carefully removed from the
chassis).

Serial Number SGD2326037K is twisted/warped. This includes the connector pins in


the rear of the board. One of the connector pins shows clear signs of being broken.

Serial Number SGD22443069 is twisted/warped. This includes the connector pins in


the rear of the board. One of the connector pins shows clear signs of being broken.

Serial Number SGD22443069 is twisted/warped. This includes the connector pins in


the rear of the board. One of the middle connectors shows more physical damage
and breaking away from the system board than the rest do. One of the end
connectors shows signs it is splitting into two and will fail like 3 of the connectors
have on Serial SGD22483998.

Serial Number SGD2322021B is twisted/warped. This includes the connector pins in


the rear of the board. Two of the connectors are breaking apart from the system
board.

Serial Number GD23220218 is twisted/warped. This includes the connector pins in


the rear of the board.

Serial Number SGD22443022 is twisted/warped. This includes the connector pins in


the rear of the board. This module has a damaged frame under one of the
connectors. One of the connector pins has split into two. Half of the broken
connector remained connected inside the chassis once the line card was removed.

These units are undamaged. They can be removed without issue
