The increasingly rapid pace of life today causes more problems than it solves.

The pace of life is increasing manifolds since past few decades making our lives more comfortable
and complicated at the same time. I agree with the statement “ The increasingly rapid pace of life
today causes more problems than it solves ”

Comparing the lives of our ancestors to us, the way of living has undergone a huge transformation.
Not only are we becoming more reliant on technology, but our daily routines, eating habits, priorities,
aspirations, expectations, and values are all changing at breakneck speed. If we think about it for a
moment, we'll be surprised at how much our lives have changed in the background. When we were
younger, communication was slow, knowledge was restricted, travel took longer, there was less
financial security, fewer devices, and less planning, and so on. On the other hand, our childhood was
more carefree, our parents had more time for us, our educational system was less complicated, and
competition in every sector was lower.

The acceleration is attributable to a number of interconnected processes. The advancement of

technology is the primary cause of this. It has resulted in increased communication and, as a result,
globalisation; the world is now smaller and closer than it has ever been. Can globalisation, however,
be the sole cause of our divergent lives? Definitely not. Other important variables that have
contributed to the current situation include increased sense of insecurity and competition among
people. We are insecure in terms of finance, health, property, employment, relationships etc. Couple
with this insecurity, our sense of competition. We're always striving to outdo one other and gain an
advantage. It might be our friends, co-workers, family members, neighbours, or anyone else. We're
always racing against the clock to achieve greater heights, earn more money, improve our level of
living, and have more of everything. In fact, the more we get, the more concerned we become with
protecting it. This is the vicious cycle of our fast-paced life today.

Our personal health is the area of our lives that is most harmed as a result of this. Exercise, recreation,
and indulgence are no longer possible due to changes in our lifestyles. We hardly have time to rest,
and even when we do, owing to mobile phones and laptops, we are never out of reach or out of work.
Unfortunately, our bodies are unable to keep up with these changes. Aside from an alarming growth
in chronic diseases, people's lives are filled with stress. Despite the fact that average life expectancy
has grown, our populations rely on pharmaceuticals to survive.

Our thoughts are becoming increasingly perverted, in addition to our physical problems. Humility,
cooperation, patience, tolerance, truthfulness, and selflessness are no longer innate virtues. People
must make conscious attempts to instil such characteristics, which were once an intrinsic part of our
ideals. Parents like to watch their children vying to be the greatest rather than becoming excellent
human beings when it comes to children. People are focusing their energies in one direction only
because money is the only thing that matters now. Work, competition, and achievement are all around
us, making our lives more comfortable while also becoming more complicated.
