The COE Procurement is a global team being setup to design and embed; capabilities, standards, performance,
innovation and strategy across the newly established One Procurement organization within Fresenius Medical
Care. As part of this structure a community of PMOs are assigned to support the functional areas of Global
Procurement eg Indirect Procurement Team, Direct Procurement team etc. Assignment will be based on the
needs and priorities of the entire Procurement team.

Tasks:

Functional Project Management

Provides project management support on all initiatives supporting the common global procurement
objectives and/or priorities (e.g.cross team initiatives)
Partners with the leader (VP level) of the team supported to provide PMO support (structure and
governance) for the effective running of the function to achieve delivery of the agreed goals
Supports the leader in; structuring and organizing their team (internally), managing information &
Comms flow to stakeholders (internally and externally)
Coordinates and consolidates Risk Management activity with the leader of the team supported
Leads initiatives and/or projects that exist beyond or outside category specific projects to support
functional objectives
Sits with, and as a member of the leadership team of the team supported
Management

Regularly organizes reporting updates to the leader of the function supported for onward use to
company leadership
Arranges and chairs regular review of goal setting and progress against Procurement savings targets
and forecasted pipeline (ie Wave entry, updates and progress)
Acts as a triage point for issue resolution and risk identification in projects within and across the
Category/PVE
Manages the global category teams/Leads through the annual budget/targeting processes to
identify, build and finalize initiative pipeline opportunities in the range of 10+ mio USD and budget
submission (in conjunction with Finance)
Acts as the CoE & P&P SPOC; coordinating Category Management feedback and communicating and
shaping opportunities and priorities to Global CoE and Process & Platforms
Ensures adoption and execution of the Procurement Calendar with the team supported
Supports consistent Global Procurement Collaboration between all teams of the Global function eg
CoE, P&P, GCM (Indirect, Direct, Pharma), PVE
Supports connectivity with G&A functions (e.g., Global Transformation Office, Compliance, Legal, HR,
GIA, Tax, etc) to ensure that Procurement is aligned & well-connected with the various business
functions
Acts as an ambassador of Global Procurement and provides input to the development and
deployment of the procurement vision and strategy

Organization Development

Identifies, coordinates and implements organizational improvements (e.g. transformation, capability


building, system and process adoption, Risk Mgmt., sustainable procurement)

Requirements:

10+ years of professional experience in change management, communications, coupled with


procurement or business roles
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary & multicultural team
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills with ability to alternate
between helicopter view and high attention to detail & accuracy
Ability to execute high quality (quantitative & qualitative) analyses to communicate a story to key
stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated ability to build trust and lasting relationships with key stakeholders
Diplomatic skills to influence others at all levels of the business and manage relationships with
internal clients
Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and program plans
Proven track record for planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects
Excellent written/oral communication skills for reports and presentations
Functional knowledge Procurement and/Supply chain, Category Management, Technology and
Processes, Communications and Change Mgmt.
English Advanced, other languages an advantage
Willingness to travel occasionally (20%)
