Statement of Purpose

I am considering Keele University to earn a degree in Management MSc. My name is

Umer Farooq, S/O Muhammad Yasin. Address: P/o Chak No. 353JB Chak No.418JB,
Tehsil Gojra, District Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan.

Academic Background:
In 2011, I achieved a remarkable 947 out of 1050 score in my SSC (Secondary School
Certificate) examination. Two years later, I completed my HSSC (Higher Secondary
School Certificate) with a 694 out of 1100 score. In 2015, I graduated from the University
of the Punjab, Lahore, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a score of 510 out of 800,
equivalent to a 63% percentage. Motivated to expand my knowledge further, I pursued
a Master's degree in International Relations from Punjab University Lahore. During my
academic journey, I gained valuable experience as an assistant Programme Officer and
later as a Team Leader at SAMAJ Development Foundation. My interest in management
was sparked during this time.

Moreover, I am very fond of gardening. I have a small garden in my house where I have
planted flowers and other plants. Plants refresh my mood and give me happiness.

For various compelling reasons, I chose the United Kingdom as my preferred destination for

appealing year-round climate adds to its allure. What ultimately swayed my decision was
the availability of three-year bachelor's degree programs, unlike the four-year programs in
other countries. The UK's educational system is globally recognized as the best, with top-
ranked universities. Affordability was a crucial factor, as the UK offers more financially
viable options for living expenses and tuition compared to the USA, Canada, and Australia.
Additionally, the UK has a strong reputation for high-quality research and emphasizes
developing sought-after skills. These factors make the UK an attractive place to study, and I
was able to enroll in a UK institution at a comparatively lower cost, advancing my academic
goals effectively.

Why choose Keele University?

After choosing the UK as my study destination, the next step was: from which university? I
searched out many universities such as BPP University, Chester University, and Keele
University. I also searched the programs these universities offer and their modules. BPP
University offers Management Essentials, Data-Driven Decisions for Business, and
Business Projects. Chester University offers Management Research Methods, Strategic
Financial Management, and Critical Perspectives on Sustainability. Keele University offers
courses in Management MSc, which are very related to my previous study. The core
modules of this course are the following: Leadership and International Operations and
supply.

Why this course?

As I studied many management courses in detail in my previous semesters, I have

developed a strong passion for management. I believe that the use of my previous
expertise in management master’s at Keele University degree in Management MSc will
provide me with great opportunities to build an excellent career in the future.
Therefore, I would like to continue my studies and research to gain knowledge and
expertise within the subareas of Management MSc.

Future Plan:

I am confident that pursuing a Master’s degree in Management MSc at Keele University

would open up a plethora of career opportunities across various application domains.
Moreover, it would provide me with the chance to explore additional research prospects
both within the sustainable region of Pakistan and on an international scale. This degree is
instrumental in advancing my education and research, particularly in the areas of large-
scale projects and big data.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that I am a highly qualified and capable candidate for this
esteemed program. My decision to study in the UK is driven by the appealing group work
culture, international exposure, and the comprehensive grading system that spans the
entire course. Joining the Management MSc at Keele University excites me, as it will allow
